Hello all, I am very new to learning the tarot.  I am using the Gilded deck.  And I was wondering if I would be able to get some insights on my reading I did for my self regarding a relationship that I would like to move from friends to more then friends.

My questions was "what dose the (the person whom I'm in love with) want from me"

Wow, mainly Major Arcana cards you got there. Can’t be that bad 

Past: I feel with the Hierophant, you have been busy doing things the conventional way perhaps? Following tried and tested methods of what is right, what is socially acceptable and following the rule of the law or the book.  Perhaps you've searched knowledge on the earthly realm and devoted your time to learning thing, following certain sets of regulations possibly dictated by the environment?

Present: The present looks like more on the spiritual realm of things rather than the earthly realm: quite the opposite of the Past where the Hierophant’s emphasis was more on the earthly plane. The present is asking you to look inwards and gather knowledge for your inner self. This to me is between you and your spiritual self; mainly dealing with secrets of your own soul and spiritual awakening within yourself. This is an inactive state, whereby you go within yourself exploring the unknown, the mysteries of what’s going on around you and seeking some understanding and perhaps not always finding it. But the High Priestess only reveals things in her time and not in yours (or ours). Have that confidence to tap into your infer self and also the patience that all will be revealed to you. As regards your relationship issue, it is saying to you to follow instincts and gut feelings about this person. You have come this far with this person and to this site asking these questions, this means your inner guide is telling you something. What is that Lisay? Listen to it.

Obstacles/Opportunities: New beginnings in the area of romance, intimacies, matters of the heart and the spirit, a gift from the Universe which is manifesting itself to you in more ways than one. This is certainly an opportunity, the way I see it, as long as you don’t make it an obstacle. If you fear it, it may as well become an obstacle. I would say watch the forthcoming events that will unfold before you and follow your instincts to bring it to fruition. There is heightened intuition by the Ace of Cups as well as romance and that warmer heart beat 

Advice: The advice of the devil is not to be enslaved only with the physical and the material side of things. There is always an element of risk of some sort of bondage to addictions and a major emphasis on the physical pleasures. Whilst at the same time this Devil is showing that should that happen, it will be easy to break the chains of bondage thus follows a two-fold advice on the whole concept of not getting into this purely on physical/material angle. In other words Lisay, if the other person is in this only for the pleasure of it, then be aware not to be enslaved by the whole sensation just because you happen to love him/her.

Future: A balancing act to blend the physical and the spiritual, the mental and the emotional aspects of things. This is a calming card, the archangel blending the physical and the spiritual in equal portions from one cup to the other. I feel the moving from friends to more than friends should be done in careful and balanced progression in order not to fall victim to the aspects of the Devil.
There is a spiritual side to you which you may need to call upon to calm things in your life where the mind and the body are concerned.




Outcome:  What can I say? Completion and attainment of dreams and wishes. The end of a cycle and the start of a new one. The World will give you want you want and it is up to you to receive it and enjoy it.
