The first card, The Devil may sound rather frightening and worrying, but infact The Devil card can be very useful and helpful and give a clear insight into the energies that are with you now. The card shows a lady asleep in the arms of the devil, the moon is full and there are shadows all around. The devil has a syringe in his hand and holds it near the sleeping lady's arm. At the moment I wonder if you are the sleeping lady and your studies are the waiting devil. You are happy and elated at getting to where you are and are taking a well earned rest before the long haul of work begins. The devil is showing us that there may be pitfalls and problems for the unwary, and that you will need to make sure that you choose your friends wisely and that you take your rest times where you are safe and secure and once your studies are finished for the day. The devil can also show us a worry about lack of fun and laughter, we must always remember that too much hard work and study can upset our balance and lead to us making mistakes, getting stale and bored. So make sure you allow time for socialisation and enjoyment, a short break will help to energise your batteries and keep your head clear and able to work on with enthusiasm and dedication.
Temperance shows us an angel standing by a forest water pool in the snow. She is the lady of balance and echoes the devils sentiments about making sure that all things are balanced and in their proper proportions, allow youself enough rest, enough time, enough relaxation , good food, all the things that will help to keep the body balanced and in perfect working order. The lady of Temperance is an alchemist, she can take two single objects and mix them together in perfect harmony to create a third unique object. Much like you taking two single degrees and creating a third. I take this to be a very good omen for your studies being successful, but the journey won't be easy and there will be many hardships along the way, but if you listen to your inner self and not the voices of the devil then you will fly through and suceed in your goals
