I have been thinking how to take the lot. If a experienced reader gets confused how about a newbie or someone that has never had one. I think the A*** and the elbow will resemble a porcupine.

I'll sit a bit and start checking this lot. Maybe reading this could be done each in a three card reading of it's own. The negatives perhaps being blocks, etc. So give me some sleep and ticking clocks, I'll get to a acceptable interpritation, watch, you'll see.

I was wondering, forgive me if I am wrong but you say you have all the interpretations pre-written and so you just copy and paste them into a reading? And that you always or nearly always use the celtic cross? If so what exactly do you sleep on?  Do you realise that each card may have a different meaning depending on its position in the spread and also those cards near it etc?

In The Ccross I denote every number to a possible archetype.

1-spark,
2-direction
3-fruit of one and two
4-acheivement and contemplation.
5-unwanted intervention.
6-factors to ensure balance.
7-motives
8-boldness
9-completion,
10-attainment.
These are linked to the Majors from 1 to ten.

What do I mean by "sleeping on a reading", I don't enjoy doing things of the cuff, for me, there is also a transition from one to the other card, this creates sets of influences which can sometimes not be contemplated immediately. I will sit on a reading for a week, even longer, and still do others inbetween. Each and every reading I do is saved and revisited for clarification sometimes. A very simple example is the Towers on the Moon card, finding them on death as well, there is then a link between death, the Moon, Two of Swords (reversed) and the High Priestess. The sunrise between the Towers on the Moon also underlines the Duality of the Sun and the Moon, and foresee the start of the new!!

I also look at the direction the figures face ie, where does the action start from, or how it will be resolved.

When I do readings, I'm sometimes sent in many directions and a lot more info will become evident, actually it becomes an adveture whenever I do readings.

Something else I do, is to do numerology, not as a numerologist. I do gematrix with the houses and card numbers. Bringing back the numbers to under ten (Celtic cross, 10 cards). If then I derive a different number or other house, that card number, in the same suit is looked at as well as the Major Arcanum. When the number refers back to the same house, i take that as a fixed situation, which cannot be altered. Sometimes i don't do it, depends on how I look at it and how i feel and obviously what the face of the cards tell me.

I think you did say previously, i take my readings to serious, perhaps I do! I always strive for perfection in everything I do, how do you think there are people like A. Crowley, A.E. Waite.

I know you do, but, think a second, a week for one reading? The situation will have changed and may have moved on or no longer be relevant, other factors will have changed, the stars and moon phase is different, for me a reading is a snapshot in time, I could no more spend a week on a reading than fly in the air. Possibly a week thinking about it then cast the reading but once the cards are placed I type, and fast!

Hmmmmmm the longest I have contemplated on a spread is perhaps an hour. After the hour if I have not put it into words, I have simply replaced the cards into the box.
