Hi Michael,
I have done a quick seven card reading for you to see what the tarot has to say about your situation
You, The energies surrounding you right now, Knight of Cups.
This card shows us a knight riding a grey horse, he is wearing a full suit of armour and holds a cup in his right hand. The suit of Cups is attributed to water and signifies our emotions and feelings. The Knight can indicate movement and eagerness to work and plunge straight into things head on. They are full of excitement and are enthusiastic but get hurt very easily. Perhaps you see these attributes in yourself? Perhaps you are looking forward to moving on and having a more satisfying and exciting realationship but you are having to wait and ask whilst someone else decides?
Energies surrounding your relationship, Two of Swords, Strength, The Hanged Man.
The Two of Swords shows us a lady that is blindfolded and holding a sword in each hand crossed over her chest. Behind her is the ocean and she is seated close to the edge. Swords are attributed to the element of air and the spoken word, they have a double edged blade and can cut as swiftly as a sharp tongue. This card can indicate that we are protecting ourself from something or unwilling to see or hear something that we do not wish. However it would be very easy to put down the swords and take off the blindfold and open our eyes and see the beautiful beach setting, and hear the soothing sound of the waves. This would tie in with you not accepting or understanding some of the signs around you? The next card is one of the 22 major arcana,
Strength. A lady is holding open a lion's mouth, the lion is tamed and besotted by her touch and gentleness. She is not afraid of his sharp teeth or fiercesome claws. She knows that love and kindness will always triumph over brute force or violence. Sometimes we all need to be strong and to have confidence in ourselves that we have the inner strength to conquer our fears and succeed in what we want to achieve.
The Hanged Man, another major arcana card, shows us a man tied by one ankle and hanging upside down from a tree. His arms are folded behind his back and he is smiling. At first glance this card is quite worrying until we look closer and realise that the man is there by choice. He could easily pull himself up and unbind his foot and be free but he has chosen to hang silently on the tree. Perhaps he is thinking and deciding his next move, or perhaps he is sacrificing his time and holding back for some reason. This card comes into a reading to show immobility, perhaps you can see these traits in yourself? Perhaps you are waiting for something and feel tied to the spot? Perhaps you are feeling defensive and are protecting your feelings from being hurt?
Energies surrounding the way forward, Seven of Swords, Nine of Swords and Four of Wands.
The Seven of Swords shows us the picture of a man carrying five swords running away from a situation, he is looking behind him at the two swords he has had to leave behind. He is in danger of dropping the swords he is carrying because he travels so fast and isn't looking where he is going. Perhaps this is someone you recognise? Perhaps this is you? The episode has caused many restless and sleepless nights of worry as shown in the
Nine of Swords, with a person sitting in bed crying. These two cards together, both swords, may be telling us that the problem involves the spoken word, and that we have to realise that we can't have our own way in everything, and that if we don't concentrate on what we are doing we risk dropping all the swords and so losing what we have. Sometimes discussing things and perhaps apologising and working out compromises can help to sort out misunderstandings and allow us to move on to happier times as shown in the
Four of Wands. This card shows us four tall wooden wands that are decorated with greenery and flowers, The Suit of Wands is attributed to the element of fire and can symbolise growth and the flourishing of your relationship. Two people are celebrating, holding hands and dancing, they have garlands of flowers in their hair and hold bouquets in their other hands. This card can show us a party or celebration of some kind, it can symbolise the cementing of relationships and taking them to the next level of solidity.
As a summary, you have many energies around you at the moment. You are concerned about your relationship but if you take some time to sit and think over what you are worried about you will see that the solution is much easier than first thought. You do have the answers inside you and if you trust your instincts you will find that very soon you are able to recognise and then achieve your goals and lose your confusion
I hope that you have enjoyed this reading, I would be very grateful for your views and any comments you might be kind enough to make.
Thanks for letting me read for you.
Best wishes and good luck
