Hi, my name is Sally and my date of birth is 08/02/1957.  My problem is that my partner and i moved here to where we now live nearly 3 years ago, and as much as we both love being here, things just haven't worked out for us.  Before we moved here, we had talked about moving down south, but Norfolk is my home and my family are here.  However, we've come to the conclusion that maybe a move would be for the best and are once again considering going south.  It will be a big wrench for me to leave my family and I'm worried that we won't be doing the right thing if we move, but I just can't see any alternative.  What I would like to know, (if you would be kind enough to give me a reading please) is do the cards have anything to say about a move?

Thankyou

Deaucalion

Hello
I took the liberty of picking some cards for you and will try and give you a reading. I am new at this and will try and use my intuition more than anything else.

Card 1- Three of Cups: State of rejoicing, partying, socialising with friends and family. Can even mean marriage, hen nights (or wedding showers in U.S.A.). If I have to take this card re a phase in your life - past or present - you best be the judge of that. Was your life full of social activities in the past? Isnt it so now? Is that what is missing? Or is it so now?

Card 2- Six of Cups: Card of nostalgia, missing old times, childhood friends - almost the 'innocent' times of one's lief. Is this what is lacking in your present state now? You may be close to your family, but for you two as a married couple, is this that is missing in your current life: your own friends?

Card 3 - Page of Wands: a messenger, youngish, or even the young within you is looking at an idea which has sprouted on the wand; almost like a new energy that needs to be nurtured and looked after. Are there such elements drawing you to south, i.e. young ones that you have or new ideas to start off in the south?

I felt I needed further insights from the cards and drew a fourth one......

Card 4 -The Death card: Now dont be alarmed. This is not as it sounds. It is not about the physical death. It is the death of the old and the start of the new.

If I correlate card 3 with card 4, I would say the ideas and the messages are there for you and if you want to end the old and start anew, the choice is yours. You have freedom of choice.

I am sorry I did not across prophetic, saying do this or dont do this, but would like to hear your from if any of these has made any sense to you.

Bless.
Grayson

Deucalion,

When I read your post I could feel your anguish. This is a very difficult time for you. Of this there is no doubt. No reading of the Tarot is necessary to see just how conflicted you must be.

I drew a 10 card spread for you and not surprisingly your conflict was mirrored by the cards. Your reading suggests that deep down you are ready to turn your back on your current life. The life of your immediate household is stable and there appears to be an energetic, creative and talented man in your life whose maturity and skill can be counted on no matter where in this country you go.

However, the influences beyond your immediate four walls are quite another thing. You appear to be in defensive mode and seem to lack the support of your extended family for a decision to leave. The pain in your heart is obvious and most obvious of course to you for whom it is a daily reality.

The alternatives have your head spinning. You are somewhat "all over the place" and unrealistic in your thinking. This is not to suggest that you are normally this way or that herein lies a tragic flaw of character. Your reading is not suggesting that at all. However, it does suggest that you "look before you leap" in either direction. Wait until your heart and head are on the same page and you trust your own clarity. Until then there is no harm to be done in staying put.

I sense that deep down in your heart you are looking for an opportunity to start over and begin anew. This is entirely understandable. However, this powerful desire may be coloring your thinking in much the same way that when you can no longer stand your current job every job in the want ads looks as though it is precisely the job for you! Once again, wait for clarity. Look before you leap.

One final thought before we end this reading. One card that drew my attention over and over was the Queen of Swords. Her relationship to the cards that surrounded her left me with the feeling that there is a powerful and stern matriarch at work somewhere in your life. If not then I believe the cards are recommending that you take out the sword of your intellect and cut through some of the illusions you may be harboring about the alternatives you are considering in your life. I'm certain that you'll know what the cards are trying to tell you here.

I know just how difficult this moment is for you. I'm certain you wish for a time when you can look back on this as something that looked like one of the darkest tunnels in your life until you saw the light at the end and passed on through.

Wait for clarity. Look before you leap. Cut through the illusions and delusions with your intellect. Regardless of the outspoken opinions of others make this decision for yourself.
Thank you
Deucalion

I would like to begin by saying a big thank you to you both, Cedars and Grayson, for doing readings for me.  They say the Tarot never lies, and they are right, it doesn't.
Firstly Cedars. Your first two cards were spot on.  When i was with my ex-husband, i spent a lot of time with my sister doing various things and going places. Also, my youngest son used to come places with us.  Now, although he lives with me, he has a girlfriend so we don't go out much together anymore.  What i really miss however, is my sister and all the things we shared.  We now live several miles apart so i don't even get to see her very often.  I don't have any friends here, and don't find it easy to make friends anyway as i am so shy.  When my partner and i go out, the only place we go is to the pub.  I couldn't relate to your third card, but maybe it's just that i can't see the relation at the moment.  As for the fourth, well maybe the cards are indicating that it's time for a change.  Thank you!
GRAYSON.  You were right about the man in my life.  My partner has the kind of job that means he could get work anywhere, and down south it would mean better pay as well.  He's a Sag, hence the energy and creativity.  My home life is stable as you say, but I know that if we were to move away, my sister would be devastated.  I feel at the moment that my heart and head will never be on the same page.  My head tells me that moving and starting over would be a good thing and at times i feel that i would like to go, but my heart tells me another.  I also can't help thinking that maybe things will be no different if we do move!  In fact, i find myself thinking quite often that they could be a lot worse.
The Queen of Swords doesn't ring a bell as a person in my life anymore, so i think you're right about me needing to use the sword of my intellect.  Thank you for your help!

Thank you very much for your feedback; it means a lot to me that you came back.

Give your inner self some time and I am sure you will be shown the right path or decision to take.
