Hi
Im new here, and find this site excellent - I have a worrying query, when it is my turn to be read of course. (as I know there is a pecking order!)..and I am very willing to wait. My ex husband, who claimed at the time that he was psychic, looked into our childrens futures one day. He reported that he could 'see' my daughter into the future, but could not 'see' my son. This has unnerved me, and Iam especially protective towards him. This was irresponsible of him to say this, but I cant stop worrying about his prediction, or non-prediction. Please can anyone help me with this one. Thank you. x |
OK, back
First I will say that I will not read for your children, that would constitute a third party reading and is not allowed under the forum's rules. But... Sometimes we are not meant to see a persons future.
Perhaps your ex husband did not see your son because in his life he may decide to turn his back on him or vice versa? It is a shame that he chose to give you this information. I can understand that it is worrying, but I do not feel that there is anything to worry about. If he could not 'see' then it does not necessarily mean anything bad, it doesn't signify that there will be no future or that something bad will happen. Try and forget it. Perhaps he is not a true psychic and perhaps he made it all up or was trying to hurt you emotionally?
I used my Hanson Roberts Tarot Deck and asked the question
" what does Elisechaina need to know about her children at this time?"
The cards were as follows.
You, Now, Nine of Rods
This card shows a person leaning for support on one rod looking away to the distance. Behind them are the eight other rods forming a wall. The rods (sometimes called wands in other decks) signify growth and things developing, each one has a flowering bud at the crown and several tiny buds along the length. There is the beginning of a sunrise in the background. This card has a feeling of anxiety and apprehension which would go along with your worries at this time. The person in this card is ignoring the new fragrances coming from the flowers they just dwell on one thing and do not pay attention to their situation. They have a strong but silent suport network that stands behind them and may be taken for granted sometimes too, this might be family or friends or even the internet, but it is a solid base, and you should know your back is safely protected.
Positive influences, Six of Rods
Here we have the picture of a strong man riding a horse, he is powerful and determined and has a following that walks alongside him. He carries a flowering rod high in the air with a garland of leaves at its end and his helmet also has a garland round its brim. The garlands show that growth has come to fruition or harvest and the circle of leaves indicate that life is run in circles, never ending or beghinning but completing the circle of life. There is a beautiful sunrise behind him and this bathes the group in warmth and makes the card's feeling brighter and happier. As a positive influence this card might suggest that the man is a friend that is helping to guide you in your life, it may be that you quite happily follow the gang, the group or the majority decision without thinking of breaking away. Sometimes keeping together makes the whole group stronger. Supporting each other means that things can get done and accomplished and so everyone reaps the rewards.
Negative Influences, Death
Now this is a card that scares many people, but don't worry, let me explain its meaning here. Death is the ultimate change, it is the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new one. The tarot works on symbolism and so the best way to show a complete change is to have something that people can understand. It does not mean the end of life. It does mean major changes and sometimes changes that we do not want. We have to say goodbye to the past to allow the doors to the future to be opened and lived properly. If we hang back with one foot in the past holding open that door allowing our memories to stay alive then we do not pay full attention to the present, and so may miss other opportunities that we might love and need and enjoy more. This card is a card of healing, of change from illness to something better, perhaps a period of poor health is about to end and a more healthy future is in store? Perhaps it might mean that we have to open our eyes to our situation and let things develop in another way. Perhaps we are stopping the growth of the previous two Rods cards?
Message from the tarot, The Star
This card sits next to the Death card. Th lady look up at the stars above her and has one foot on the land and one foot in the water, her hands are full of water running through them. This card is another that can signify healing, the split between the physical ( the land) and the emotional and spiritual (the water). The lady is just as happy on the land as she is in the water, she moves between the two effortlessy. She brings new ideas and new hope and looks almost like she has a lightbulb of ideas above her head. Perhaps this card is suggesting that bringing more understanding of the spiritual world to the physical is needed? Perhaps there is a possibility that learning could help here. After the change of the Death card the healing Star shows us that there is a lot of very bright light at the end of the tunnel.
The Outcome, The Lovers
A perfect card to finish with. A young couple embrace as the lady cradles the mans head in her arms, above them an angel watches and behind them is a glorious sunny day. The couple are supporting each other and are happy together and very much a pair. This card would indicate that love will triumph in the end and that there will be many joyous celebrations.
