I have had a good career for 15 years. I worked hard and learnt a lot. There were challenging times, and situations but I worked hard and with sincerity and managed those downs.

Since July 06, I have had a run of bad luck in my career. Since Jan 07 I have been looking for a job. I have in this time become more spiritual. I keep hoping that something good will come up in the job front, will it? My birth date is 25th July 1968.

Your first card was the 8 of Wands, This card is you, now. The picture shows 8 wooden wands all firing at one person, and in this incidence I take that persom to be you. You feel attacked from all sides, unsure of what to do next, and struggling under the weight of so many options and decisions, never knowing who to turn to for help or how to avoid any more blows. Each wand shows growth, some have one leaf some two some more, this indicates that although it feels like you are still and stuck and perhaps even stagnating you actually are still growing and moving very slowly towards your goals. The flying wands have not yet hit the ground , so their course can still be changed and they can be diverted into hitting the ground somewhere less important. Small changes may make huge differences right now. Just by realising that you are not locked into a fixed route, and that you can infact change things and be in control once again, will give you the hope you need.

The next card was the 6 of Wands, here you are riding high on a beautiful white horse, you have many people around you all happy and they are following you and basking in your smile and sharing your joy and contentment. The leaves have flourished and been weaved into two garlands, one you wear on your head and one you carry high. The garlands can be symbolic of what you have acheived, what you have grown with your own hands and worked hard to make into a desirable shape and form. You are proud of your abilities and have talents that others envy and sometimes try to belittle. This has lead to a a lack of confidence but you are beginning to realise who and why they are doing this and you will easily rise to the top again once you have cleared out these negative energies and moved away from them.

Your third card was the Queen of Swords. sitting on her throne holding a very sharp sword. This lady cuts through negativity, deceit and lies with her sword. She does not suffer fools gladly and prefers to be alone rather than in company she does not trust. This card I have read with your base card which was the 8 of Swords. A lady is blindfolded and her arms are loosely tied, she looks down rather than trying to peep, she has given up and accepted that she is stuck without ever trying to get free. There are 8 swords, standing point down in the ground around her, and although they look frightening they are actually helping protect the lady from the abyss behind the fence the swords have made. If the lady was to lift her head and smile, the loose blindfold would drop from her face and she could see. If she was to stand bold and upright the ropes would drop down her arms to the ground. I feel that this card is probably the most important one for you, and that the symbolism in this card might be especially poignant. Your future is in your hands, are you going to stand and wait for your destiny behind the blindfold, or are you going to shake free of these superficial bonds, break free with determination, and head for your dreams and your own goall?

You must first decide what your goal is, what you want to do, where you want to be and then the decisions will become much easier and your strength will return.

Thank you so much for your advice. If I may I want to start by mentioning something. Its a coincidence, but some years ago, I bought a tarot card book plus cards as an introduction to this subject. It was Mystic Meg. It was yours. Then, when I signed up on this forum, and saw your name, I was so pleasantly surprised. It was like full circle on my interest in the Tarot.

You are so right. I need to shake myself out of my depression, start by making small but significant lifstyle changes, rebuild my self confidence and re-evaluate my goals.

Your mention of people who were envious of me, is so correct. As I never realised it then, but some of my friends were carrying such envy for me, that later came out in some not so pleasant ways. Anyway, one lives and learns.
