Hi all, I met a new man about a month and a half ago named Shannon, and I would like to see where our relationship is headed. He has been pretty elusive about asking me out, although he ha asked if I have a boyfriend and what bars I frequent. I feel as though he is attracted, but what's the deal?

You probably are right that this young man is interested in you, but maybe he is shy.
In that case you need to let on that you are interested in him too. So so often people
wait for the other to indicate safety in being approached.  Your first indication that you
like him should be your BIG smile when you see him. He can't read your mind... so
body language says a lot.  If you are shy as well, and look away because you are
embarrassed of your feelings... he may misinterpret this as not being interested.  

When I was your age we were required to wait for the boy to make the first move, so
we had one of our girlfriends tell a friend of his that we were keen on them. Our mothers
told us to be coy and play hard to get, but times have changed (thankfully) and we are
allowed to be more forward without getting a bad reputation.

When you are at a club and he is there too... ask him for a dance instead of wishing
he would come to you. I don't know you feel about asking him to go on a date...  this
could take the pressure off him and let you know if there is a chance of a relationship.
Nothing grand... something really simple and not expensive will let him know that you are
not going to be asking for him to get you the moon.  Because of your youth, I am wondering
about this young man's finances... There is often performance pressure on the guys to pay
for everything... maybe he thinks he can't afford to have a girlfriend, yet.

I do not usually give readings to people who ask on their first post, as I like to stick to the borad's guidelines about people contributing, but I read the other replies and felt drawn to choose two cards for you. The first is the 10 of Pentacles, the card has a couple talking together in the street, surrounded by a crowd, so seems quite apt? Pentacles can mean gold and riches or money and financial situations so I am tempted to say that this person, Shannon? is checking you out! There is obviously an attraction between the two of you, not just polite conversation, but the card also shows me an older person a small distance away that is very carefully watching the situation.  I get the feeling that money is a strong feature of this relationship, and that there is more to the questions than you think.  The base card is Justice. Fairness and propriety will be big issues here, I think that you need to make some investigations yourself to see what information you can find out from other sources, as there is a fine balance between truth and deceit and I feel that there could be two sides here or an ulterior motive, but once you have got the truth you will be able to base a new relationship on a solid footing and know that it will last

He is 10 years my senior, and we met through our mutual financial investor.. who, I have a feeling, dropped some information about my financial stability. I have always wondered that.
