hi everyone,
I'm new here and want to learn to read tarot cards.

Can anyone suggest an easy way of learning to read the cards.

there seems to be so much to remember it is overwhelming at times.
I feel like it will take years to be comfortable enough to read for someone else. any suggestions?
thanks

MB Learn Tarot is a great program to study the cards. It really helped me to get the keywords down, so I could study further in depth later.

Joan Bunning's free online course, Learn Tarot, is also a good place to start. She has an easy-to-read style, and explains things very clearly.

Once you have the basics down, there are a lot of great resources out there.

Practice! Practice! Practice! It will come to you in your own time and in your own way. Play with your cards everyday, try and make use of them all the time, read widely, but you will get to a stage when all the books begin to say the same thing, and then you know you're getting somewhere. If the Tarot wants you, it will come to you in time, just keep using your cards, wear them out!

I'm with Malachai on this one.  Practice!!!

I make spreads several times a day.  You can do it for people you know and even people you don't know.

I've been told that while learning you should stick to one or two spreads until they're second nature.  Normally I stick with the Celtic Cross and the three card spreads but every now and then I find a spread that I want to play with so I go for it.
