Hi Karlee,
We can do a mirror spread, in regards to your past relationship.
Card 1: Your role. 5 of cups. You are suffering this loss of the relationship. Your experiencing regret, feelings of loss. It is important to realize that the glass is still half full, however. All is not lost, even if it feels that way.
Card 2: The way you see the other person in the relationship. 2 of cups. Juggling - juggling the relationship, juggling priorities, juggling what's important to him. He has a hard time focusing on your relationship, and is always looking elsewhere.
Card 3: The way they see themselves. 4 of pentacles. He believes he is protecting what is his right. He is concerned, in particular, about financial matters, and protecting himself financially. He tends to look out for himself first.
Card 4: What the person represents to you. The Devil, reversed. Oh dear. He may have been an aggressive partner, preventing you from developing. Infidelity or abuse is possibly involved? This card indicates a very negative presence in your life.
Card 5: What you represent to them. 5 of cups. He may view you as someone who is often upset about what you don't have or lack.
Card 6: Obstacles within the relationship. 6 of wands. Expectations are a problem. What you expect of each other may not match what is actually possible or likely to occur.
Card 7: Strengths within the relationship. 7 of pentacles. Hard work. You both have spent a lot of time and effort in the relationship.
Card 8: Probable result. King of Cups, reversed. Dishonesty, double dealing, scandal...
The cards seem to indicate that you made the correct choice. Really, especially if abuse or infidelity was involved. Only you know the full story, though.

Hi Redwhisper, sorry it has taken so long for my reply i have been away and also having problems with my pc but what can i say, you are absolutely spot on with your reading.......
Let me explain...........
"Card 1: Your role. 5 of cups. You are suffering this loss of the relationship. Your experiencing regret, feelings of loss. It is important to realize that the glass is still half full, however. All is not lost, even if it feels that way."
We have decided to split, even tho we still love each other.........
"Card 2: The way you see the other person in the relationship. 2 of cups. Juggling - juggling the relationship, juggling priorities, juggling what's important to him. He has a hard time focusing on your relationship, and is always looking elsewhere."
He is married. I was seeing him for 10 months and I never knew. He works away a lot so that is how he has got away with it........
"Card 3: The way they see themselves. 4 of pentacles. He believes he is protecting what is his right. He is concerned, in particular, about financial matters, and protecting himself financially. He tends to look out for himself first."
He has a big house (apparently) and earns alot of money, his wife doesn't and he is worried about her taking him to the cleaners..........
"Card 4: What the person represents to you. The Devil, reversed. Oh dear. He may have been an aggressive partner, preventing you from developing. Infidelity or abuse is possibly involved? This card indicates a very negative presence in your life."
He wasn't aggressive physically but he was mentally. Because he works abroad he was very jealous and controlling, so yes he tried to stifle me, prevent me from developing, prevent me from going out with my friends for fear of someone chatting me up.............
"Card 5: What you represent to them. 5 of cups. He may view you as someone who is often upset about what you don't have or lack. "
To right i was upset when i did not see him and could not understand why.........until i found out about the wife.............
"Card 6: Obstacles within the relationship. 6 of wands. Expectations are a problem. What you expect of each other may not match what is actually possible or likely to occur."
I expected a life long partner.........no chance of the with his wife in the way!..........
"Card 7: Strengths within the relationship. 7 of pentacles. Hard work. You both have spent a lot of time and effort in the relationship."
Yes, we did really try to make it work, we argued a lot but we always came through.....and he is hard work, lol
"Card 8: Probable result. King of Cups, reversed. Dishonesty, double dealing, scandal..."
"He is dishonest, he cheated on me and his wife, it is not common knowledge yet but yes scandal will be the result"
Thank you so much. Deep down i knew i had made the right choice
