The Da Vinci deck grows on you, it holds within the richness of the depicted art deeper secrets and meaning, not noticed at the firt glance. Once the cards have revealed themselves, I often study them and then go away, sometimes leaving them for the night before proceeding with the reading - the times of the origins of the paintings or part of paintings tend to speak from dark ages when people were less materialistic and much aware of the powers that they feel but not fully understand, maybe they had mor time to reflect on these unseen powers and forces, than we have today. The grace and honesty mirrored back at the reader is very gentle in contrast to the fear, love and deep )often hidden) truths and brutality of life lurking behind elaborate clothes and the grandure of the dark and early middle ages. Reading becomes a learning process, and as we learn we develop, and as we develop we can see the truth, as as we see the truth we begin to understand and to know, and to know is to live for the first time. May the warmth of wisdom form a blanket around you so that you can share that warmth with those who are so very cold.
