I started learning the tarot sometime back. I started with the Rider-Waite. But it just takes sometime i guess to absorb it all in! I am still learning!!

I recently went to a bookshop and saw this deck and book set there. Ihave no idea why, but I picked it up. Guess Merlin and that history has always fascinated me. I haven't started it yet but just thought I would ask if anyone has ever used it and what they think of it.???

I have this deck and the two books that go with it. I love the art and it is quite a nice reading deck, but...
this deck, the numbering system and the meanings rely on the order first published by William Gray. The Major Arcana ordering is very different from any other deck and this system is Mr. Gray's idea of where the cards should lay on The Tree of Life.

Unless you are aware of his ideas or have the book, I wouldn't recommend this deck for a beginner. It would be much too confusing. It is a system in and of itself.

what abilities do you have... you were drawn to them .. making them interesting in themselves .. I never buy what the market says to buy .. I buy what draws / speaks to me

I have the one book, asked the bookshop to try and get me the second one as well. I am not too familiar with the system as I am still new to the tarot. But somehow I want to learn it.

I started reading the book and going through the cards to have a feel for it. It is hard and quite confusing but I will try my best. I am going to put it aside though till I get very familiar with the normal tarot. But hopefully inthe future I want to master it.

Deborah, I don't really know if I haveany abilities as such. But all I knowis I have been drawn to the tarot for a long time now but I have never really had the chance to actually learn it. Butnow, at this point inmy life, I can and so am trying to. At the same time, I am learning the runes as well as a bit of numerology. I know, its a lot to do but I feel its time now.

But once or twice when i had a pyschic reading or even a palm reading a couple of years back, I was told i was very spiritual and drawn to the mystics.

I have about 17 decks and Merlin is one of them! Really cool set! It breaks away from the norm of the regular tarot sets!!!!! Thou I dont use them as much now!
