Did a celtic cross reading using RW deck. It was generally favourable as it was to shed some light on a divorce I'm going through. I got The Hermit in position 5 and the Devil in position 10 was just wondering do these cards cancel each other out ? From what I remember The wish card Nine of Cups was in position 7, The Hanged Man reversed in position 8, and Ten of Pentacles was in position 9 - sorry I can't remember the positions of the other cards, how favourable does this seem ?

Sorry if this seems sketchy I'm still a newbie

Thank you so much for any replies

Hi,

To read the CC is daunting to many people, as it is fairly complicated, although it gives a lot of information to the Querant.

The CC has specific placements or "houses" and it's specific explanation or interpretation. This spread is also linked to numeric sequence, as 2 follows one etc.

To understand the significance of the numeric "allocation" you need to know that no's 1-9 is in the archetypal, 10-18, existential and 19-27 in the cosmic spheres of existence. Although the Major arcanum has 22 cards only, the cards are linked to the Kaballah and the Hebrew Aleph-Beth.. Numbers 23 - 27 are finals of the alpha numeric "letters".

Each progressive step throughout the aleph-beth, cannot cancel each other as you have a continuous process with Aleph-One-The Magician as part of the next step, from the beginning. IOW, Aleph, ONE is also YOD, Ten. If you do the numerology 10, becomes one again. This is a never ending cycle. Each of us, start cycles by our actions every day, which may complete at any given time. This is known as the "life-death" principal or the road from 1 to 10.

In house 10, which is Yod and calculates back to One Aleph, you have "The Devil" in the existential sphere. As Yod is the first alpha-numeric in the existential, it is what may happen around you. Therefore, perhaps bondage, oppression frustration etc, during that period. The Gematria of the Devil expanded is 6-60-600, VAV (Lovers)- Samech (Devil) and Mem final which I allocate or associate to Death (13).

For this cycle to complete you still have to do 5 steps (6-10).

Blessed be.

I am constantly surprised by so-called newbies reading for themselves and using complex spreads such as the Celtic Cross and then asking for further clarification or feedback.
Why do you keep doing this? If you are going to read for yourselves, why dont you use simple spreads?
And then to come here and ask Oh, I got this card on position X or postion Y and that card on position A or B..... Wonder what they mean....?

You dont even say what was the question asked and expect someone here to give you feedback...? and then you go.. Oh, I dont remember what card was in what position..

This is no joke and none of us are prophets here to decipher your own cards which you dont even remember.....

Please get serious.
