I was wondering if anyone could help me with a reading I did a couple of weeks ago.
There is a guy that I like but don't know too well. I haven't had the opportunity to talk to him.

I was curious to know what the chemistry would be like between us if we got talking. Would there be a connection?
The question I asked in a reading was , "what would the chemistry be like between us?"
I don't do set spreads (layouts). E.g- past, present, future. I just follow my gut and position cards as my intuition tells me to.

For this reading I pulled out 2 cards. The first card was Knight of Swords. Second card was Two of Cups. This was positioned slightly under the Knight card.
My intuition told me the Knight of Swords was my answer and the Two of Cups represented what the chemistry would be based on. It felt like the Two of Cups was the backing for the Knight of Swords.
I also had a flash of the Knight's horse illustrated in red with black outline like the winged lion from the Two of Cups.

My deck is Rider Waite.

I don't know a lot about meanings of the cards so did some reading to find out. I'm confused because Knight of Swords doesn't seem to go with Two of Cups. Would anyone be able to help make sense of this reading for me please?

Edit: forgot to mention, I also had a synchronicity during the reading that involved the number 111. If anyone knows anything about numerology or what it may mean please share

Very conflictive cards. My guess is neither of the two cards were reversed since you don't mention anything.

  The knight of swords is one if not the most conflictive representation of the court, given the nature of your question what I think is that there could be a sentimental connection between you but it would be to your detriment,  if you don't know him very well probably what you feel is not "like" but some kind of physical attraction. You could end up in a relationship that wouldn t be to your benefit due to this pre conceived idea that you like him. I would suggest to go ahead and approach him, and get to know him well but with a cold mind, you might end up noticing that he is not the type of person you would like to have a relationship with.

Thank you! Yeah the cards were positioned upright, forgot to mention it earlier. Everything you said makes sense. One question though, what did you mean by a 'sentimental' connection? Is that suggestion based on how I related the knight's horse to the winged lion?

By sentimental I mean that you are going to have a relationship sharing strong feeling and emotions, The two of cups suggests me that, the fact that the position of the knight suggests me everything else!

I m sorry, what I meant is, you COULD have a relationship and end up sharing strong feelings and emotions...
