Greetings to all members of this wonderful community.

I am a developer of flash apps. Interested in your opinion. Is the software for cartomancy can correctly predict the future, destiny of man, etc.?

I think that fortunetelling with cards are a great way of self-knowledge, analyzing your goals, a great pastime, relaxation and meditation.

Hello Astraport and welcome to Mystic Board

I believe in the human element when giving a reading as opposed to a software or a programme doing it for me. Whilst some inanimate methods have given good readings, but for me softwares dont feel. Now, you would argue: is it good to feel whilst giving a reading instead of being impartial and unaffected by what comes the cards reveal? As long as your 'feelings' are deriving from your own intuition and not a feeling you have developed towards or against the seeker (good or bad), then I still believe in the human aspect of giving readings, or as you call it ''fortune telling'' which is a word I would try and avoid

Why do you ask? Are you thinking of developing such a software?

Hello cedars.

Thank you for your opinion. I agree with you that the actual predictions or divinations can only do the human.

Yes, I already created a flash app for cartomancy online. It has many functions and settings. And now I'm thinking where do I move on, how to develop my app.

As you rightly said, to feel the cards many people use ordinary (cardboard) cards. But its are not always available. In addition, the novice is difficult to understand the meanings and interpretations of cards. But there are also the meanings of the reversed cards, there are many meanings in different decks, there are combinations of cards in the spreads and there are hundreds of different layouts (spreads). It's millions and millions of combinations. No book will help. And using software I want to make the process of fortunetelling more enjoyable and interesting. The fortune telling by card (and with help software also)  is a great tool for relaxation and introspection, the solution of personal problems, conflicts, clarify the relationship with a partner, etc.

The new versions my app I want to realize choice of cards based on the signals of the subconscious (this is a very interesting technology based on the animations of cards, recording the motion of the mouse, analysis of various fine motor movements of arms), card`s combinations, using multiple decks at the same time (although this is debatable). What do you think about this?

English is not my native, so I apologize for my style of communication.
And I think that the word 'fortunetelling' correctly reflects the essence of divination on the cards, is not it?

Let's get this point clarified. I dont view tarot reading or psychic connections as ''fortunetelling''. That almost gives me the impression of the foretelling, predicting, telling in advance..... or in the case of ''fortune'' what fate lies ahead... I, personally, prefer not to get that far in my readings. Whilst there is always an element of things to tell about the future, all things being equal, but dont you think we can go contra to what ''fortune'' has told us? I think we do.

It is quite an ambitious project you have undertaken and technically I could not comment about it. There are many such softwares available in the market and, indeed, one that this site does away for free provided one complies with certain criteria. (I am not sure if the sofware is still available).

When you say cartomancy, are you referring to plain playing cards or specifically to tarot cards. In the case of the latter,as you rightly said, there are hundreds of decks and spreads available...... which one does one choose or which one would your software be based upon..........?

Many questions there..
