Hello everyone! I am Scarlet Oracle. I have been reading tarot for about a year now and am very in tune to my deck for others but, lately I have been having trouble with reading cards for myself especially with the subject regarding my significant other I feel very strong energies for. I feel I got a good reading today based on the general meanings of cards drawn but again I have that block that keeps me from deciphering what I need to be told in this.

I use the Vertigo Tarot Deck at the moment and I did a simple mirror spead that is laid out like this

Card 1:   The querent.
Card 2:   The way you see the other person in the relationship.
Card 3:   The way they see themselves.
Card 4:   What the person represents to you.
Card 5:   What you represent to them.
Card 6:   Obstacles within the relationship.
Card 7:   Strengths within the relationship.
Card 8:   Probable result.

here is what i drew:
Card 1:   King of Swords (R)
Card 2:   Two Wands (R)
Card 3:   The Hermit
Card 4:   Six Swords (R)
Card 5:   Eight Swords (R)
Card 6:   Hanged Man (R)
Card 7:   Nine Pentacles (R)
Card 8:   Four Swords

Any insight to your true intuition regarding the reading i recieved?

Normally, readings for ourselves are not to be trusted as you are or inevitably will see only the good, no matter how much you say you are not biased.

I see you read the cards upright and reversed. I virtually always use the CC and in using this spread have a few rules I don't break!! One of the most important is that I will not do a reading if there are more than 50% reversals.

Looking at your spread and lay, there are too many reversals, if I get a lay like that, I will close it and wait another day. At times, I will even place a few times, until I feel comfortable with the cards. If then the cards don't speak to me, I don't do a reading at all.

You must also consider that you should not do more than 1 reading for a querant in a three month period.
