I was thinking of asking for my cards back that I gave away about 5 years ago.  Recently I read somewhere that you are not allowed to use other peoples cards because of the vibrations etc. Is this true?  I LOVE the old cards so much. Is there any way to "get rid" of these old vibrations so i can still use them?

Sure thing! That is if the other party is willing to return them to you.

There are a lot of rituals people do to "cleanse" Tarot cards. Things like burning a specific essential oil something like cyoress, sandalwood, patchouli or pine. Or you can "smudge" them with sage or cedar or a blend of the two.

I believe simply shuffling the cards infuses them with your energy. I mean when I read for others in person, I let them shuffle & touch the cards in any way they wish. I don't believe the Querent has made them "unclean". I kind of think that the idea of "purifying" or clearing Tarot cards is a superstition. But it only matters what one believes. So if it makes someone feel better to burn some incense or essential oil then by all means do it.

Oh yeah. Some people use crystals typically clear quartz or perhaps rose quartz. I think they simply lay the crystal atop the deck & leave it for a few days.

My Universal Waite is secondhand, and gives me good readings.

That said, I wouldn't want to get rid of any of my tarot decks!

to help clear the deck of past readings & vibrations. it's good to keep the deck in a black bag. (if can make the bag yourself, even better). before putting them into the bag, put them back in order.
