3-Gimmel/Ghimel.
Suares: Gimmel, no. 3, is the organic movement of every Beth/Bayt animated by Aleph.
Gimmel (3) is the archetype of all movement -- the motion of all Beths containing Aleph. It is primary that to move, space-time is necessary so it may be viewed as the primary seed of space-time, for to know motion is to know space-time. If Beth is matter, then Gimmel is space-time. So we see that Aleph-Beth-Gimmel are primary seeds or kernels to the world from which matter-space-time, the so-called arena that is existence is manifested. Gimmel is the third logical term in the formative/ontological alphabet. 1: Aleph: the contained. 2: Beth: the container 3: Gimmel: the relationship (linkage, functional movement) between the two: the motion (Gimmel) of matter (Beth) animated by Spirit (Aleph). If Aleph is Spirit, Beth is matter, in the sense of a generalized container for Spiritual/psychological energies. Gimmel is their interaction and the fruit thereof.
Gimmel is spelled Gimmel- Mem- Lammed (3.40.30): (uncontrolled) movement - passive resistance - (controlled) movement shows archetypal movement penetrating the biosphere (any pattern of biological resistance) and giving rise to organic, controlled, movement (biological equilibria).
3/Gimmel's archetypal movement, a direct result of the infinite energy of Aleph upon its containers (Beths) is infinite and uncontrolled -- it has not yet met the resistance of life (4/Dallet) -- although its structure (Mem-Lammed) is rooted entirely in the existential-level energies (40-30) of biological response and (controlled) movement.
Gimmel is, in fact, defined as a double (biological) movement: the uncontrolled outer flow of life (3) and the inner, controlled balance. Lammed, Ghimmel's mirror in existence reverses the equations. The outer, controlled movement of the same biological pattern is rooted in Dalleth, (archetypal) resistance (to uncontrolled Gimmel on the level above).
When we look at the hypothesis above. We have to remember that all matter, emotion and spirit is in motion and motion is in everything, be it contained or released!
The path from one to ten, has a significant attachment to the Major Arcanum. This we also see in the Archetypal, Existential and Cosmic levels of energy. Gimmel on it’s own and divorced from the other letters, creating it’s meaning or influence, is still in the Archetypal stage, with it’s extensions considered, we find it moving from Archetype, to Existential and finalising in the Cosmic.
Considering the “construction” of Gimmel;
Gimmel-Mem-Lammed.
Gimmel – 3 – The Empress. Archetypal energy.
Mem—40— Justice. Existential energy
Lammed—30—Wheel of Fortune. Existential energy.
Doing the numerology in this we see 3+40+30=73, reduce to 10—Wheel of Fortune. It is in this equation that we can see, what and how the Empress has her importance, and the implication of the Three’s in the Minor Arcanum.
Another very significant approach, we get to ten once reduced, but in fact we need to reduce even further and we arrive at The Magician. And this is where we start seeing the inter-action and the cosmic dance between the “Life-Death” principal. The relevant resistance is only experienced in the Fours, in essence, we must now start considering that the “Motion” started in Aleph, contained and fulfilled in Beth, bring us to the root and fruit of Gimmel, the result, after which we will now see the active resistance and blockages originating in the fours, to continue in the fives.
