The rider tarot cards that are in my posession as of a month or so ... don't really "speak" to me. Although I love them and  feel a positive connection to them. I'm sure in time they will because of how strong their energy is.
How long did it take you to start reading on your own, without the use of a book for interpretations?

Also, if you have the time would you please give your insight to this reading? I like this spread and tried it out for the first time. This book defines it as a simpler version of the celtic cross. You may also like this spread yourself too!!! Thank you in advance! Not sure if you need to know but...I was focusing on my relationship.

Here's the spread...hope you can understand it!
Thank you for trying! Hope you can find some use for it yourself too!!!!

            3

4       2 and 5 (5 is on top of the 2 it is horizontal)      6

             1

1. Your experience to date----- five of cups
2. Where you are now------knight of pentacles
3. The near future------king of cups
4. You in the environment of the future------queen of cups
5. Best you can hope for-----Hierophant
6. Outcome------ten of cups

p.s
If court cards fall on 3, 4 or 5. It tells you what type pf person you are involved with.

I've been studying the Tarot for about 2 years now, but I can hardly say I know it. I can't really read on my own yet, I usually use my notes, either to verify or to fill gaps. I prefer not to risk doing any mistakes at the moment. I say don't hurry into "guessing" before you've got all your interpretations figured out. Especially if you do revearsals...

about the reading...

5 crosses 2, right? one question, do you do revearsals?

first, you have a Cups majority, so it's about emotions, and your actions revolve around them. You have two fives (the V of Cups and the Hierophant), which signifies wake (as in being awake).

1. Your experience to date----- five of cups

It's hard for you to explain what's bothering you, though 5 is the number of changes, positive and negative. You've had some bad experiences in the field (either an end of a relationship, or a disapointment in something you had high hopes for). You've learnt that the possibility of learning from one's mistakes is given only to the one who understands what made them happen in the first place.

2. Where you are now------knight of pentacles

You are orderly and give yourself enough time to do a good job. You are happy with what you've accomplished, you feel home in the relationship which is long lasting and warm from all points of view.

3. The near future------king of cups

You might receive the help of a trustworthy and respected man in a time full of romance.

4. You in the environment of the future------queen of cups

You will rely more on intuition, than on your physical senses. You will enjoy the company of your close ones and all relationships will be strong and pleasant.

5. Best you can hope for-----Hierophant

Conformity, belonging to a group, following the path of knowledge, an intention of marriage...

6. Outcome------ten of cups

Your dreams and hopes will be fulfilled. You will feel included in your partner's heart, you will have the protection you crave for, and yes, marriage!!

it's a nice spread, I've written it down on my spreads notebook. Tell me how accurate this was, I'm still not sure about certain interpretations of some cards.

Hugs,

Sonia

Thank you so much for taking the time out to interpret these cards!!!!!!!!
Really!...Thank you!

Ok so here we go...this is to let you know how accurate this was...

1. yes! This is where I am now, at the end of a relationship.

2. yes and no,
because I do feel happy with one thing that I accomplished bought an apartament, However the no is because I'm not in a relationship anymore. That was the only thing that didnt make sense.

3. Yes, I did recieve some financial help from a trusted person recently.

4. YES! especially because lately i've been trying to listen to my intuition more and more.

5. Yes, there is still an intent of marriage.

6.  We will see! I have been getting this outcome quite often, as well as an experienced tarot reader that I went to see a long time ago before I even met him again...( I say again because we've known each other before) Sorry! Don't want to bore you with details!
Later, during a rocky time...marriage as an outsome came up for another tarot reader.
But then we broke up? So this is what has been confusing.

I just don't understand it yet...because we broke up but marriage (reunion)comes up as the outcome in my tarot readings? But I'm not sure it will happen?

Sorry for the long winded post! But another answer to your question, Yes 5 crosses 2. Meaning that Five is on top of two. And I dont yet use reverse cards...I think it's only been about a month or so since I got my tarot cards.  So not too confident in using them And didnt think I would. But I'm starting to feel that I will use reverse cards one day.

THANK YOU AGAIN for your interpretation!
And I'm glad that you liked the spread too!!!!

Take Care Sonia!!!!! It was nice to meet you!

I remember I struggled for months with my cards. Especially with my first deck. I was the one who had to let go, it kept telling me how narrowminded I am, and I kept getting angry because they kept throwing the truth in my face and I wasn't happy about that. In two years I made peace with the cards and I have evolved due to learning Tarot. It's a two-way business: you get to learn about the cards theoretically, while they also teach you life lessons. Don't be afraid, keep trying and trying and learning.

Hallo!

It took me ages, too. I got my first deck when I was about 15: Rider, of course. I thought I would never, ever get the hang of it. I went at it with compulsiveness, then had to park it for a while in frustration.

I also found the cards were really mean to me when I interpreted them for myself: no miss nice lady for me, just the harsh truth, whether I liked it or not. So I stopped doing readings for myself -as it is said to be counterproductive- and began pouncing on unsuspecting friends and victims .

That turned out to be a lot more fun, as I found myself loosening up and enjoying the process after a while, even if I still had to look up some meanings from time to time so as to not leave anything important out -I still go through them once in a while-.

I found the reading course on this site really helpful when you still feel unsure about trusting your intuition. It really proves that Tarot cards speak in similar ways to most of us if we do not look up their meanings.

That was an interesting spread and interpretation. I use the full Celtic spread often, even if it is considered a little `démodé´ nowadays
