mmmm how do you know hwich deck is right for you guess its by what you feel ??? |
There are even more than the few found on this site, there are all types of tarot, oracle, and specialty decks.
There is a great site, but I don't know if it allowed to be posted here, I can send it via email if you like.
This lists many of the decks available. but even this site doesn't have all the decks.
As for how you would know which deck is best for you, trust your instincts, and intuition to guide you to the deck that appeals to you.
For some they may start with a beginner deck, something like the Quick and Easy Tarot, M Hanson-Roberts & Ellen Lytle
For others they may want something that appeals to their heritage, such as say the Celtic Wisdom Tarot by Caitlin Matthews or the Norse Tarot by Clive Barret, or the Native American Tarot by Magda Weck Gonzales
Another idea is to view decks, if possible, go to a store see what images seem to call to you, it is one of the reasons I like this one site that shows most of the decks I have encountered. There have been decks that sounded good, but when I looked at the images, they just didn't really resonate with me, so I moved on and didn't get them.
So if it seems to be something you feel drawn to it is quite possible that is because the deck is right for you, or for where you are at.
When I first began reading cards I did use the Aquarian tarot, I have used the Sacred Rose Tarot, currently I use regular playing cards, which I did when I was younger but used a different system.
So it can change with the direction of your own personal path as well.
Trust yourself and your instincts.
