I have read from several posts on this forum that people energize their cards with positive energy by using crystals in the tarot bag or placing your cards in the sun or moon light.

I love crystals.  Which crystals are good for that type of energy?  Are there some crystals to be avoided?

I have two books on tarot card reading and am going through a online course and have never seen any mention adding energy to your cards.

Anyone know where I can get some more info on this?

Pietersite!!! Pietersite is supposed to be good for tarot and tarot readers.  Helps open you up to it, and such... gets the flow of energy moving...

As far as energy goes, magnifying energy is generally attributed to quartz.  I'm partial to tourmalined/tourmalated/tourmalinated (I've seen it all three ways) quartz, which is quartz with inclusions of black tourmaline.  That just magnifies the positive, and the tourmaline traps negative energy and transforms it. It's a very positive stone, and quite cool-looking!

I keep my Pietersite piece in a pouch with my cards, and I have put the Tourmalined Quartz in on occasion.  I also like to surround my reading space with stones and crystals.  They're just so much fun.

Wheher you want to do it for 'fun' or genuine clearance of previous energies from your cards, a simple prayer like bellevalentine said above would do. I am attuned in Reiki so I also use the Reiki symbols. I also use the pendulum to drive all negative and previous vibes and influences away.
Just a simple prayer with intent should be sufficient.

Yeah i agree with everyone here.
When I get a new deck all I do is dedicate it to the highest of all light, also do reiki so while i'm dedicating it I'm also giving it a good ol blast!
I also love Pietersite, great stone - also great for meditation.
I'm a huge fan of rose quartz and kynite.
But I would say that a simple prayer is all you need. And I believe that once it is done it has been done. You don't have to keep on doing it.

How on Earth do you do that? I've tried working with my pendulum many times and man we don't really chat very well with one another
hahaha! We have this whole almost clashing of personalities kinda thing. That is the only way I can explain it
What do you use as a pendulum? And how do you go about getting your pendulum to actually clear spaces?
