Is it true we need to have some sensitivity in order to read tarot?

A deck of Tarot is, in my opinion, a tool.

A hammer is also a tool....if you own an hammer...you are not a carpenter....you can learn to use the hammer...but just those who have the skill will make a difference.

The same is it with Tarot....If you have no skill, and know nothng about them...they are just a deck of playing cards.

Then you can study the meanings, and you start to be a ""Carpenter"....but only one of those who can do the common work.

If you possess abilities or skill in Tarot, then you will use what you have learned as a foundation, and from your own mind you will build on this, and by connection to the seeker you will make Readings that can be astounding....but again...it will take a lot of practice and imagination and connection.

I believe one needs to be sensitive towards others to be able to connect with someone else's feelings no matter what form of divination one uses.
This is true to the t a r o t too to a certain degree, unless you are going to do text book card interpreation.

A psychic 'sees' with his/her sense...... feels.... Psychics always say,,," I feel" so and so..... "I sense" so and so.....

By 'sensitive' it should not necessarily mean you fall into a huge drama and tearful state by the smallest thing in life...

dont let such preconditioning thoughts stop you from learning the tarot. Only you will know if it is the right divination tool for you.

Hope this made sense.

I find that, unless you really were born with a natural penchant for this kind of thing, the only thing that can make you proficient is tons of practice.

In fact, when I first began I thought I would never get the hang of it -I have never thought of myself as specially sensitive, gifted or talented-. It took many years of on and off practice till I magically began to feel a certain connection to the cards. But the magic emanated from having become deeply familiar with all of them, as if they were pictures in my family album.

So, even though the process is fascinating, I would say it is usually long for most of us. So make the most of it and enjoy!
