Ok, this is one of the most controversial topic in tarot history! Can you use logic in tarot not just instincts?

I think so. I use my logic to make conclusions based on what cards I pull and what actions to take thereby. I also use my logic to eliminate trains of thought caused by readings that lead me in directions that don't make sense.  I think logic is inherent in everything.

Of course!  You use logic to match which card relates to which one..  For example a friend of mine got the female Emperor reversed (excuse my english) and the seven of pentacles at the base while many other cards were lying around andand his concerns were too diverse (therefore the reading was quite diffuse) but one of them related to his mum, and I simply connected the cards and told him that he was not feeling emotional support from his mom and was quite frustrated because he was dissapointed in how she'd stress over material things.  He confirmed my accuracy but even the interpretation was based on intuition, how you connect cards to give the most meaningful insight is pretty much logic (whether based on the position of the cards, or previous knowledge you had of the asker's profile)

Insofar as logic is a system of reasoning (and of course, a product thereof), and those that created and refined the tarot used a highly sytematic method of reasoning, one will find logic within the traditional ideograms, pictograms, and color relationships of the tarot.  Logic is also to be found coordinating the mysteries represented by each card, one to another.  The most readily discernible logic that is present, takes the form of mathematical and symbolic logic.  I hope this helps somewhat.

Intuition, logic and statistics... It's a about getting a very logical and clear message which you have to descifre using your intuition (as in picking the right angle to see the card) and making the most of it. Then seeing what you've received so far through statistics (which card has appeared most in readings, etc.), you can draw very logical conclusions from that one too. They're interdependent, IMHO
