You did not specify the deck you used. I am using Rider Waite. Bear in mind that meanings can and will vary depending on the deck used, so I am crossing my fingers yours is no too different.
PAST-
knight of Pentacles: in the past, this person has always been rather trusty, hardworking, responsible, deeply rooted in the world, with little imagination, quite traditional, purely practical and likely to depend on others leading rather than taking the initiative.
PRESENT-
Page of Wands: now this person, who is also faithful, enthusiastic, full of resources, intelligent and trustworthy, is getting ready to begin a new adventure, cycle, project or phase in life, maybe through having gotten new information about something he/she would like to try.
FUTURE-
5 of Swords: this person will go through a hard time in pursuing his/her goals and this will make him/her feel humiliated and weak for having failed in some way. But we must learn to accept these drawbacks in order to keep on moving ahead. Also think whether your "enemies" are real or whether you are your worst enemy by feeling inadequate with every little obstacle you encounter.
Observe we are talking about someone who is always ready to work really hard but shy about taking risks, so any new venture is bound to make him/her nervous. Never mind, a little emotion is good.
Since we got 3 out of the 4 suits, the reading is as balanced as can be, probably dealing with business or study projects that we may be contemplating and the way we are likely to face it in future. The fact that no Majors came up probably means this is no life/death decision and whatever the outcome, it will be just a new lesson in life, rather than a life changing experience.

Sorry I left out the name of the deck I am using. It"s the Rider Waite deck also. You have decribed me to a tee. The Past,Present,Future are exectaly right. The project I am working on is learning the Tarot. I just got my deck a couple weeks ago. You are so right about feeling humilited and feeling like I have failed or will fail. And I am my own worst ememy and I do feel inadequate. I really want to get good at reading Tarot but am afraid I never will. It will take time I know so won't give up. Just bought a book today to help me out, it's Tarot Plain and Simple by Anthoney Louis. Thank you again for your help. 
Glad to hear this is your project, only I do not think it is worth feeling inadequate for. It does take time to feel comfy with one's own interpretations, usually because we do not dare trust the information that comes to us automatically just by looking at the cards images.
