Hallo, HedBanger (I hope you don't make a habit of your nickname),
I can tell you what the cards you drew mean to me, but I would not place much faith on relationship readings. You should let the heart rule (and I mean the heart, not just a passing whim). It is like asking your mum (or hers, for that matter) what you should do about it: would you then abide by her decision? I am sure you wouldn't, so you shouldn't follow card's advice to the letter, either.
But I think in this case the cards are pointing out obstacles in your way to this and other future relationships, so you might profit from this information. That is why I give it, against my better judgment.
Ok, first let us have a look at those early cards concerning the girl of your dreams. By the way, I am using Rider Waite. If you use another deck, its meanings may be quite different, so take that into account.
Strength: this is a call to learn and apply emotional control, inner strength, self restraint and discipline. Why? Because, when contemplating a relationship, often our emotions do us in. Meaning we let ourselves believe what we are feeling is based on reality, when most of the time we are making the whole thing up, including what we think the person is like.
Death warns you that taking losses in love can hurt a lot. But it also tells you that you may be needing a whole new approach to this subject in order to have any success, so watch out for old habits that may be working against you.
Judgment is an impulse, an inner calling that moves you to act in a certain way, to change or recognize a change in yourself and your situation. It usually follows Death quite naturally: end of old you, birth of new you. It also means understanding something on a deep level, getting inspiration or maturing in some aspect.
Lovers is usually about making important decisions, as Farafina pointed out, or making them with the heart, as I asked you to do. It can also mean nostalgia for a past relationship, or a relationship that you value a lot, someone who you feel backs you up emotionally (not necessarily a lover, though).
May I ask you if you were only using Major Arcana on this first spread? Or did you get other cards besides these 4 Majors? Because, as you can easily see, Majors talk about certain traits that could be good or bad to have in this pursuit, namely: you need to take control of your emotions (Strength), be ready to change deeply if necessary (Death), follow your inner voice and instinct rather than what others may say (Judgment) and be sure to make the right decision (Lovers). You may or may not follow this advice, but it does not say much about the real situation, does it?
So let us see about your "last" spread:
3 of Swords: she obviously thinks you have the potential to hurt her very deeply, or literally, break her heart. Whether this is due to her own previous experience or the way she sees you, you should better ask the lady in question.
Knight of Cups: you see her as attractive but passive, not ready to commit (not surprising, considering the last card you drew).
9 of Cups: is about having fun and relaxing avoiding unnecessary worries, happiness and sociability. So you can have a lot of fun together but on a rather superficial level, since you are not ready to commit. So why not enjoy things the way they are now and see how they turn out later? It is obvious that your relationship right now does not need any pressure put upon it.
The Fool: is a blind jump of faith, meaning that no one knows what you would be getting into in the future. If you pursue this relationship, you will have to keep very open minded about it, be optimistic, have faith, follow your instinct. But beware of rushing things or taking sudden risks: temerity and irrational thinking will not help you here (remember Strength).
2 of Swords: warns about emotional tension leading to blocks and a defensive attitude. The more tension, the easiest it is to end up quarreling. It is also a good indicator that there are things you are refusing to look at clearly.
A card that turns up without your looking for it, usually sums up what you are asking about, in this case, The Lovers, a decision about a relationship.
I hope you got something useful out of all of this. See you around,
Cheers!
