Wow! To tell the truth, that is pretty much how I interpreted the spread when I drew it but I just needed someone else's more "proffesional" interpretation. Thank you very much pirbid and cedars.

Hello Hedbanger, as Pirbid said, it is always difficult to give a relationship reading. Follow your heart my friend, follow your heart and what your gut feeling tells you. If it is wrong, dont be too scared to admit it.

Hmm... To clarify some things about the relationship between this girl and I. We have only dated a couple times and those couple times weren't exactly "perfect". We had fun and everything but it just seemed like we were acting as friends instead of together in a relationship. But I am thinking of asking her out very very soon and I decided to do a quick little spread based on how it will end up turning out. The spread is vey makeshift and I made off the top of my head so...

1. Me contemplating asking her - 2 of Swords
2. The process of asking her - 8 of Pentacles
3. Me after I ask her out - The Chariot
4. Our relationship after I have asked her - The Fool

Can anybody give me your own interpretation of this? Another question I have is how the Fool fits into a relationship as the future. I am worried that this spread is telling me that I might have to deal with my emotions of disappointment (the Chariot) if she says no and that our relationship will turn out bad as the Fool. I haven't had too much good experience with the Chariot or the Fool so that is why I am having a slight negative view on it. Does having the Fool as the future represent that we could have a fresh start in a relationship? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think you almost know how to read the cards that you've picked, but let me give you my impressions..

1-The Two of Swords: Yes, you are contemplating and unless you ask her, you will sit there, like the lady on the card, eyes blinkered and not moving one step ahead. This is a state of stalemate. If you are scared as to what her answer will be, you will never know unless you ask her. The words must be spoken for you to move on and ahead in whichever direction.

2- Eight of Pentacles: To me, I sense, this relationship or whatever transpires from the above step one, needs some work to be put at it. Whether it is to sort out differences or differences of opinion, I sense this card is telling you to get to know and learn about each other. By this I am not suggesting that her answer will be Yes or a No. All I sense there is some work to be done there and hard work always pays dividends, doesn it?

3- The Chariot: I feel this is your manoeuvrability through the obstacles in this situaton. You may feel you are at the helm  of the controls, but you also need to be carefully treading on your path in order to reach your goal. There is strength in this card and dont undermine it.  Do you really want this woman? Does she gives you a conditional answer to your question?  Is she unsure and yet doesn't want to break the ties with you? Well, all of these may not sound so final for you and perhaps not the ideal answers for you, but if you want her, then there is some struggle ahead.....

4- The Fool. Oh, well, our dear old Fool. Following the above cards, I sense this card to be one of a new beginning, a first step in what may come. Some may argue that this is the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. But whatever that cycle, it will all depend upon your First card once you ask her the question.

I know it is not what you would like to hear Hedbanger. I suggest first that you come out of your stalemate situation and only then you will know what may lie ahead.
