Hi there, I sent a message to " Introduce yourself" and was told I might have better luck here. First of all , the pics. with your names are so cool and full of self expression. I had mentioned of how drawn I was with the "Golden Tarot" by Kat Black and wondered if it was fairly common to have one deck that seemed to scream for you to use it. I do collect decks but there is just something about her deck that inspires me. Why do you suppose that is?

There might not really be an answer to why.  Yes, if a person is drawn to tarot, often a deck jumps out to them more than any other.  Enjoy the deck.

Hi! I just had a look at that deck on Aeclectic, just to see what we were talking about, because I had never seen it.  

It is a collage of medieval and renaissance classical artwork, so maybe you are specially attracted to art. Are you an art history teacher or student?  

I am sure certain decks attract certain people for a reason: as you say, some decks seem to beg you to use them. By all means, do. I am also a collector and I believe the images and symbols depicted are very powerful in themselves, since they are designed to speak to the collective mind. But then there is the very specific artwork and color palette that each artist choses that can make a whole lot of difference in our emotional perception. I tend to enjoy cheery, almost childish decks, while others are more attracted to somber or mysterious images. All are fine, if they inspire good readings.
