Hi Guys
I’m still rumbling on about the “Fate” card. You know many would say the Fool is the start of a new journey. I’m getting the inclination that perhaps the fool is leaving the road to enlightenment behind; because he thinks there is no one that can teach him, because he knows everything. Like teenagers, typical little @#$##. If you look at the card, the dog seems to be his dog, it won’t accompany him otherwise. This dog is also no puppy? It also looks like a type of terrier, these dogs are very intelligent, ask me, and love them. Got a new baby, typical terrier, we just connected so well. Although he hasn’t mastered the art of communicating, at least he’s trying, but shame a bit confusing sometimes. Tries to tell everything in one flash, mmmmmmmm. He’ll learn. Asterix was excellent at communicating. This one’s name, yes Obelix, had to also be a Viking or Swords doggy.
Anyway, the dog’s stance can be seen as jumping up barking to this roughneck teenager, but he couldn’t give a %^&, because who are you to tell ME anything. Remember dogs become adult long before we do. In his left hand he is holding the emblem of the Rosecrutions. They, the Masons, Knights Templar, Illuminati and the Alchemists have always been referred to as enlightened groups! His sun is totally blank and all.
Another point, look at the direction he is walking, from right to left. This we can interpret a move away from the path of enlightenment!!! So, a theory, in the bible a fool is defined by someone talking too much and therefore starts talking %^&, a wise man being one who listens a lot and only comment here and there!! So the fool is creating a dream world for himself from the %^& he believes, therefore although he took the plunge on his own, he's destined for failure!!!
This is like when you warn and warn, until that person burns their fingers!! Back to square one. Now, what would be before 0, i think roulette, 00. So the fool being on the edge of ^&*& up his life, 00 must therefore be the one already living this life. The card “Miseria” or “Fate” comes to mind. Tarocco Siciliana has both these cards!!!!! I’m not trying to rewrite Tarot, the possibilities are numerous.
Now, let’s get a bit technical: the Magician simulates the Hebrew letter Aleph.
א
1
Numerical (Gematria/Abjad) value:
1
The Magician is directly linked to Aleph in the Hebrew alphabet or Aleph-Bet. When we start investigating Aleph we see that it is constructed from two Yods and Vav diagonally, joining the Yods.
In the Kaballah the Yod appearing on the Top represents God, Vav, the diagonal line, mankind, we can see this in the creation of Adam on the sixth day. The bottom Yod represents the revelation of YHVH to mankind. Vav or hook, shows how the two realms are connected. The two Yods then displays the connectedness of God to mankind, being far yet close, being near yet far.
When now we look at the Magician, his arms are outstretched, one pointing up, the other pointing down. As above, so below. The diagonal Vav, his head the upper Yod and his lower body, the lower Yod.
The overall geriatrix for Aleph is one, but Aleph is made up of Yod=10, Vav=6 and Yod=10. Now we see an interesting scenario, the division of Aleph gives us a total of 26. The number twenty six is the same as that of YHVH.
Now when we look at the construction of Aleph we see that the top Yod represents God or spiritual realm, near but far, far but near. Vav the diagonal line, number value six. Vav representing Mankind, or the day in which man was created. The bottom Yod, with klots or hook representing the manifestation of God or the Man-God. We can safely assume that God is the centre of the universe and creation. So therefore Christ and the Magician can be seen to be one person. I would want to argue the Negative attributes, i don’t think we can assign them to God.
This is now where we start interpreting the Magician, looking at God, influences translated into the mundane is done via the Magician. Now, representing God as well. We see the Magician as a creator, master of his own environment and control of the mundane and creator of the universe, intelligence and wise decisions. But, in this sense we must also look at the negative influences that can be practiced.
The Magician is also capable of destructive influences. Such as abusive control over people, altering personal environments and ignorance.
See that from 1 to 7 all the figures face you directly, although the Empress’s body is turned to her left, our right. If you now have a good look, you’ll see that in almost all of them, you have balancing elements. The Fools way is not balanced but declining to the left!! So the Fools journey, what do you make of that? Another interesting card we get to is the Hierophant. The left and right, exactly balanced, what else do we see? With his right hand he is blessing the Emperor, but also keeping him in control! Now with his left hand “the triple cross” symbolizing martyrdom, he is bestowing that, on the Lovers, those being condemned from the Garden of Eden, Yet the source of Light—Sun—God presiding over them, on his robe, the row of buttons is in the shape of the Rosicrucian cross!! In Robin Wood, the Death card has a similar rose wrapped in a red cloak. Rosecrution stands for ROSE---CROSS. What then is the Rose behind the Fool doing?
Another very interesting thing we see in Judgment. Reading Revelations, it is in fact the Angels deciding your “Punishment”; Christ however stands as savior but in heaven. So the theory of gone with the old, in with the new. Look at the figures; they are all looking up at the Angel. One twist, those in the background are looking at his back?? Those in the front, his face!! Look at the sex of the figures. If you look from behind those in the background they would represent the way in which the Lovers are facing. Female on the left (intuition) and male on the right (activity-dominant hand)—definitely not a lefty. The front figures *&^ about face, a crossover?? In trying to maintain balance all the men are on the left and all the woman on the right—interesting!!
Well, I hope you make head or tails here, it’s just interesting theories and points to ponder.
Blessed be
