I'm new to this forum and I just posted on the dream interpretation site.  I believe in the tarot and have had several readings.  My question is the following, how accurate are tarot card readings?  And what exactly can you get from them.  I usualy get my tarot cards read for the beginning of the year or after a significant event in my life.  For the past 2 years i've been told that I will marry soon and have a son immediatley after.  I find it strange that I've seen different readers and they all tell me the same thing but I don't even have a boyfriend.  And the closest thing to a boyfriend I have/had lives in another state and I just called it quits this weekend because he's not willing to take our relationship to the next level.  Is there a time issue with readings?

i have found my cards to be accurate and not so bad for people that i've read for.  but that question is load with a fixed answer of Faith.  either you believe or you don't.  i believe them to be accurate not that all Readers that read for you may be accurate.  also, keep in mind, that a forecast can change but just knowing what is going to happen and you make steps to change your future.   for example  in a reading you ask will i get that new promotion at work? and they say no.  then you decided to change yoru path by taking a class that qualifies you for the new job then you get the new job.  was the Readers wrong?  no, because they warned you of a pitfall and you took step to avoid (although in the cards it should have told you to take a class but this is the best example i could think of.)

to learn more about Tarot you could sign up for the Tarot reading class held the Gem!  the insight given by her and class members will you give a understand of Tarot cards and what they have to offer when getting and giving a reading!

I would first of all like to thank you for taking your time to answer my question.  It makes complete sense to me.  I will take your advice and do more reading on the subject matter.  I do believe in the tarot because i have had several good readings in the past.  Would it be too much to ask for reading?  I am concerned with my personal life and have this fear of staying alone.  I want to have my own family but for some reason it hasn't happened yet.  I don't know if I'm doing something wrong.  I am a frim believer that things will happen when they are meant to happen and not before.  But time passes and I don't see myself evolving in this area of my life.  I feel incomplete.

Hello, Junior, I think I just answered your question in some other thread, but here goes in a summarized (hopefully) way   :

It is not the cards, rabbit entrails, tea dregs or rune stones that do the work, but our inner guides, most specially that of the querent, though most readers think it is their own (and maybe it is, I can only talk for myself).

I certainly work to bring to the querent's conscious what their inner guides already know and are probably trying to tell them through their dreams or coincidences (not everybody is as lively a dreamer as you or I might be: at least most cannot take the time to recall).

I also think Tarot works better as a tool for self knowledge rather than divination, but that is only an opinion.

My advice, if you are interested, is that you take Gem's course here on the board (it is fun, free and you can go at your own pace) so that you can find out for yourself whether it works or not. After all, why take our word for it? Come on, it is a great experience. I am sure you would enjoy it a lot  

Thanks again.  I am really interested in taking those classes.  I am an active dreamer.  For the most part I can tell when I dream something that is just a regular dreams but then there are dreams that have more of an impact on me and I sense that they have greater meaning.  Last night before going to bed, I lit a candle and I prayed to God and my spiritual guides.  I asked them to please send me a message through my dreams.  I was upset because I was seeing someone who lives in another state (we have a long history together)  and I ended things with him 4 months ago.  He recently came back into my life and once again I said good bye. He doesn't seem to understand that I want something serious.  He's not offering me anything more than what he's given me and I'm not willing to accept it so I said good bye.  But he doesn't understand.  He stays away for a while and then out of the blue calls me again.  I explained it to him this time and he did say Bye so I think this time it's final.  To be honest he's the first man I have ever fallen in love with and it hurts like hell that he doesn't feel the same about me. But I know what I want and deserve and he's not willing to give it to me so I have to move on.  That is why i asked God and my guides for help and that is why I needed help interpreting the dream.  I'm not quiet sure what the dream meant but all I know is that I felt good, calm and happy.  I have faith that whatever the outcome may be it will be a good one and that's what I'm taking from this dream.  I was so happy when I awoke.  I love it when my guides talk to me through my dreams.  You will see me on this thread and others.
