Do you charge for your readings? If so how and also why? How did you swop from giving free readings to charging. How do you figure out how much to charge and if and when?

What about insurance, qualifications, etc etc

I am inundated with requests for free readings, I know I should think myself lucky, but I do wonder. So many take and never say thanks. I put a lot of time and energy into giving a free reading, some take a few minutes, others can take hours. I am wondering what I should do now, if I start charging obviously the numbers will drop but will it then mean that my readings are worth more? Fewer but better quality? More time for each one?

It is always nice to give free Readings and as long as they don't expel other task, and you feel confident in doing it...then it will be a great gift to those who receive.

Many times when we give away such "free gift" the demand increase and this way other task will suffer....then you have two choices... start to pick those you want to respond to..which will lead to some will feel you are unfair..or start with paid Readings, which will decrease the demand...but as you said..give more time to do each reading and by that give a higher quality on the product.

The main thing is that you feel confident that you "sell" something that has a value, but I am sure you will find many Readers the take fees, which they never should have done

A Reading are a prediction of Events seen from the situation today.
Since we all have free will, the querent has to work active to fulfill the Reading or to avoid it.

Since much are up to the Seeker...there can never be delivered any guaranties that a reading will be fulfilled.... but there should at least be possible to see that the Reader are into what the Querent are paying for.

Most Readers give the reservation that all readings are only given for  entertainment purpose....and this I think is a good rule.
If a Reader don't gives any good Predictions...the word will travel fast...and he/she might get less to do...and if he/she is good, the opposite will occur

Not that it helps my dilemma, I guess I will just have to see if I feel better cutting down my readings for now to give me space to think.

Your dilemma is like the one we had to typically face while learning Reiki. Should one charge for giving Reiki, since reiki is universal energy and no one has any right to copyright it for a fee. However, there are issues like a) whatever if given free is never valued fully and often is disregarded and b) the charge is the charge for the time spent and not for what is given which is invaluable.

You should be the best judge and do as guided by your instincts without any feeling of guilt at taking money.

On MB, we don't charge!

I have querants that I outrightly charge, and also double than other readers. I do this because I really take time to do it, sometimes even three days at which I would concentrate on that one only!!

My approach however is to say I charge, but it's up to the quearnt to pay for the reading if they feel like doing so, more of a "donation", and not a fixed amount. You find that people normally give you a neat packet.
