Hi Jaggedblade,
Yes the symbolism of Judgement refers to a Christian myth, but also to a "Satanic" Truth!!! As i'm busy compiling a book on Satanism, their view of this, is that the annoying "babies" will be removed. Then it is interesting to see that Wicca in many instances is a contradictory beleif system, as is xtianity as well as perhaps all religiuos systems. I group Judgement rather with Death in the sense that Death sits smack bang in the middle of your spiritual evolvement. 1-7 being mortal control, 8-14 is where you find the three virtues and 15-22 the path to spiritual attainment. Therefore my inclination is for Judgement to be a transition between losing your memories and links with that which is before and movement to absolute completion, depicted by the world card.
Maybe we should consider a thread in another forum discussing the relavance of the World card as complete attainment as opposing "Heaven to be complete attainment". I don't want to elaborate to much because this forum is mainly Tarot, there is a definite link between the last 7 cards of the Major to the Seven Heavens, the path of Aleph to Yod with the minor, this can be seen in the Bible with 10 generations between Adam and Abraham, 10 generation to Noah, 10 commandments, 10 plaques, is the number ten not also significant.
I think this is enough, I don't mind Gem or any of our moderators moving my answer as it leans a bit away from Tarot.
Blessed be

Your response is fascinating, Payewacker. Of course, I'm no moderator, but it seems to me that your thoughts relate to the question I was asking. Do you do Tarot readings with this interpretation of the Judgment card? Do I understand correctly that a "Satanic" interpretation would be that the spiritually weak?? (is that what is meant by "babies?") are to be "removed" through death or in some other way to allow the strong to reach full "attainment?"
I do find the World card very interesting. On it are representations that I can only take to be the four-faced "Living Creatures" described both in the Book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament and Revelation in the New. How do you interpret them?

Hi Jaggedblade,
The Satanic movement see the xtians as cry babies and that the christian rapture will remove them, leaving earth for a thousand year rule with satan at the driving force. My view on Judgement is really a point of attainment and transition to completion.
On the World card, the four corner images represents a saint, i will give you the exact ones a little later.
The Eagle I think is St. John
Blessed be

Hi Jaggedblade, here is the info from my notes:
Symbolism of the World card:
The Four Heads:
Religious connotation:
Symbol EAGLE MAN BULL LION
Psychological function. Intuition Thinking Sensation Feeling
Zodiac correspondence Scorpio Aquarius Taurus Leo
Element Water Air Earth Fire
Elemental creature Undine Sylph Gnome Salamander
Suit Cups Swords Pentacles Wands
Social class Clergy Nobility Traders Peasant
Virtue Prudence Justice Strength Temperance
Theme Joy Sorrow Money Holdings/country
Saint represented John Matthew Luke Mark
Season Autumn Winter Spring Summer
In the Orphic myth the four images are the heads of Phanes, in being represented as the oneness with God, he also had golden wings and double sexed. His four heads represented the four seasons, the Bull, Lion, Ram and Serpent.
On the World card as in Orphic literature, he is placed in the middle as the Anima Mundi, the wheel of time around him and the four directions of the wind in each corner, therefore he is the centre of the universe. His dual sexuality is shown in the Torch displayed in his right hand as male and then the crescent behind him indicating the Moon, this then symbolizing his male and female nature.
I have a image of Phanes as in the world card. I just don't know how to copy it into this pane?
