How do you handle tarot reversals? I know some people don't use them. I am leaning toward the not using them.

here is a question that has been asked a hundred time and even once by me!     i use to try to read them then i found that i didn't really need them.  if the cards know how you are going to use them then they will fall reversal or not for a correct reading.   in order words if you don't read the reserve then the correct cards will fall.  there are plently of cards and combinations not to read reverse.  

I read with them, but I know many people who don't and they have readings just as accurate as mine... or mine as theirs. Which ever way... I just like it, it helps me to show the difference in changing just one thing and they way it could affect the out come... (if you show it with one card then you have to for the rest of them)

I did a reading for my best friend, which was not very positive... and when I started to tell her that it was where she was wanting to take her life that was being read she looked startled... she hadn't told me at the time but she was thinking about going back to her ex who made her miserable for 8 years... it hasn't even been one since she left and I have never seen her happier.... When I showed her the other side of the cards... that left her where she was currently at... it showed a much happier her and her son much happier...

That is one of the reasons that I still use reversals... to show how much change just one choice can make in our lives... I find that it is easier with the cards to illustrate this....

This has been a subject of many discussions as George pointed out. I learned reading the upright and reversal, even my interpritations of the cards include both orientations. I have been told that sometimes my interpritations are a little bit harsh, but the Tarot know how you read.

So, yes when someone reads upright or includes reversed you should get to the same conclusion.

I am sorry if i am being newbish but i wanted to ask, how can cards become reversed? i mean in a deck if all cards are of the same orientation no reversed cards appear, but if one or more have a different orientation only they will fall reversed. So ifyou intentionally let cards in your deck be reversed won't that be against the divinatory aspect of tarot?
