I found it very theraputic to make my own deck. What are your thougths on the subject? By the way its a GREAT way to learn meanings!!!and its fun too!

i think anyway we can learn someting new and it works is a great step forward towards the positive. now, if you asking if making my own deck is okay! of course it is. you add your own life force, enegry, etc to that deck.
another good way to learn to read the tarot is to join Gem's Tarot class which is free, btw. also you can post pictures of your deck when going through the class which would be fun for all of us to see!

I have never ventured to create my own deck from scratch, but I did print out some pictures of the Rider Waite deck that I found on a site somewhere that could be colored. That helped quite a bit, even though I have yet to finish it.

ok so i got my tarot deck almost a year ago...and since then i've made my tarot journel.ive done several readings ive done all the book has asked but yet i still have to look up what most of the cards mean. can somebody give me a way that will help me to learn it!!!

Hi, Chriskins,

if you follow Gem's free course here on the board, you will soon be convinced that all meanings are inside you, if you take the time to look for them. Much better than learning them from books, I assure you, and much more fun, too.

Just look for the Learn Tarot subforum in the Mystic Academy paragraph. After you have signed up, the Way Map is the best way to follow all the lessons in the right order. There are always students on it, working each at their own pace with their own decks and the tutor will give you a hand if you get lost.
