Sei no Senshi,

I think what they mean is that it does not matter what card one draws. A person will always relate to a card. It just depends how much they think it applies to them. That was my understanding of the conversation. Regardless of what card is drawn, the person's response to the card would relate an "underlying cause" of whatever was bothering a person at a given time presumably because it is at the forefront of a person's mind anyway? I don't know. Did I just mix that up more. lmao. oh well.

So in that sense it can be seen as those rorshak ink blots.

Ever have one of those times where nothing makes sense until you get that one piece of information and it all just suddenly falls into place?  Yeah, I'm experancing that about now.

Okay, thank you so much sidewalk_bends.  That makes the world just seem a lot more orderly.

However, I feel that makes a huge assumption that that is, in fact what would happen.  Personally, I would hope the symbols involved in the Tower and the Ace of Cups would be quite different and perhaps the psychologist would be unable to come up with a reasoning behind why the patient feels that way.

Hm, just seems based on too many variables with a major assumption in the mix.  Although, I do think it would make a very interesting session, at least to observe how it works, but I know they don't let you do that.

Darn confidentiality laws and whatnot.  ^.^

Hi, sei no sensii,

Can I advise you of myself a bit, i have a masters degree, and my subjects cover pshyciatry and pshycology, You should therefore know that to sit in on pshyciatric sessions, would only be extended to either students or qualified persons. Not blowing my own beugle, let's look at what I meant.

The cards are grouped as per percevied possibilities and are not drawn randomly, let's put it this way, take the seven of swords, it displayes a person making of with some swords, some decks are more graphic than RW. So then the next one placed next to it might be the 8 of Swords, simply these cards may be linked to depresion. A thief is easily recognised, the eight of swords describes a very real emotional perception of the patient, feeling trapped.

The basis of depression is described by the above, feel as if something is taken, normally following a divorce etc, and not as cunning and stealth. Depression has a tendency to have people feeling as if they can't get going, in fact, being blocked, not wanting to improve their situation, feeling as if in a gutter with no way out! then using the 9 of wands, the next sympton is described, i'm being issolated and no matter what i do, just don't seem to beat the odds.

So therefore a spicifict situation is described by a few grouped cards, this also establishes the level of psyhiatric degeneration.

Attached to this, a few cards are then linked to the process of healing, the progress are then therefore also determined by following advise and assesing the patient's level of improvement.

Blessed be
Its results are far better than lying on a couch

What I mean is a tarot reading done by a skilled practicioner beats the physcs couch your discription of your reading reminds me of their famouse answers, And how do you feel about that or how do you see the situation.

Im not saying that method does not work what I am saying the Tarot is more than that

Hi Mav 62.

Yes Tarot is much more than a phyciatric evaluation of a patient, my job is to extract information from people. Their buckled minds sometimes give conflicting emotions to the point where you think you are dealing with a bipolar psycopath.

I strongly beleive in the divinatory side of Tarot and has been reading for some time already. I don't know if you read the entire discussion regarding this subject, you'll see my approach regarding cards.

Blessed be.
