Hi.... Five of Cups, i include my complete interpritation.


Symbolism.
Cloak on figure: Distress.
3 spilt Cups: That which is lost.
2 Cups upright: That which is retained.
Bridge: Possibility to overcome the loss.

Element: Water           Direction: North.
Season: Winter.

Zodiac: Second quarter of Leo and ruled by Strength.
Comparative to the Strength card.

Card Description.
A distressed figure standing between five Cups, two are upright while three are prone, a bridge crossing a mote leading to a small holding.

Meaning: “despair”
This card is all about loss, however not everything is lost. The losses and gain card allegorises that you have gained five but lost three of that. The possibility is very good that your attitude and outlook on the situation is such, that you only concern yourself with that which had been lost. You don’t seem to see what is left. Another way to look at it, is that your gains do not fill your expectations. Therefore, giving you a feeling of dissatisfaction. The fact that cups deals with matters of the heart, it indicates that you are unhappy in your personal relationships or your marriage.

Positive: Sorrow, loss, disillusionment, bitterness, relationship ending (marriage, work, friendship).

Following from four where you were starting to feel bored and recognizing your relationship becoming stagnant, you are now at a point where you can’t even realize the good in your life. You are disillusioned even bitter about that which you have. Therefore all you see now is the negative, the losses. You may have grasped the “better” option and things didn’t turn out so well. The bottom line is that you should stop and smell the roses. Don’t be blinded by the thorns as then you will always be discontent. Start picking up the pieces, glue them together, this situation is only temporary. There is still hope, you need to look for that positive spark, continuously remind yourself to press ahead, and the difficulties can be overcome

Although you may have a feeling of sadness, you can expect things to get better. if you have unwavering love for someone that suddenly walked away or isolated themselves from you. Don’t despair, that which was lost will return, either the person or the sensation of belonging, if you are in a relationship already, and the road is rocky, expect renewal. A new relationship might be in waiting. It is also now that you have the courage and tenacity to overcome any obstacle coming your way. The way forward will be better but not without some problems.
