I was doing a reading for myself, just a basic seven-card past, present, future spread.  When I dealt the two, three, four, five, and six of staffs all in order.

What does this mean?  I've never dealt cards in numerical order one right after another before.

If you know you have shuffled the deck properly and still dealt these cards, you need to look at which house these cards are lying. It seems as if it describes a persons walk, or reaction to the opportunities he had. I would say 2=direction, 3=possibilities arising or expanded, 4=stillness, 5=upheavels, gains and losses, 6= victory after going through problems of five, and seven, the start of movement arising from the victory from 6 of Wands.

Personally, i don't really trust readings i do for myself as they could be biased, tainted with your own influence of what you want to read. To read a certain situation, is ok, but it's better for someone else to do it.

I would check your shuffling, the only time I get that is sometimes with a new 'sticky' deck.

I agree with Gem - this sounds like the deck just wasn't shuffled thoroughly enough. I've been reading tarot for years and have never seen that happen with a well-shuffled deck (not saying it couldn't happen, just that I've never witnessed it).
