I went to a tarot reader 2 years ago and it still bothers me now.  I chose to think of it as being able to warn me if true but not to let it ruin the relationships i have with my family.

I did not tell the lady anything about my family and she predicted dates and personal details on my dad, mum and brother.

When she spoke about my brother she got really angry and said that he was "coming through the door so strongly".  She said he had tried so many drugs.. she looked at me and said.. im sorry to tell u but he's had heroin before.. definately at least once.  It made me scared and i felt worried sick.. i have not confronted him about it because i dont want to let a stranger affect my relationship with him if its not true.  I told my mum and we both took it as something to warn us in case.. since then he has been involved in two car accidents while drinking.. im scared for him.. she predicted he would cause "a lot of pain" but she was not sympathetic toward him just so angry.. thats what upset me most...

The words of the tarot reader echo in my head and i can still picture one card i chose for my mum... it was a lady sitting up in bed weeping.. the images and words still scare me now..

Amelia I am so sorry for you nasty experience. Its tarot readers like that, that give the rest of us a bad image.

The card you mention is the 9 of Swords I think? It might help you if you looked at it again and read what other people think?

What some readers don't understand is that they have an ethical responsibility to their Querents. There is a fine line between giving a truthful reading and giving too much information to the person asking for a reading (the Querent). Every professional reader wants to be accurate and thus encourage more people to come to them for more readings. Even if he or she was right about your brother doing drugs, it's not fair to your brother for the Reader to be passing that kind of information around. Also...even readers are human and make mistakes. If your brother has done drugs, then it wasn't right for her to divulge that information to you-- it's your brother's business...not yours or anyone else's.

Another example....I'm not a Reader but if I was and you came to me for a reading.... Let's assume that one of the cards you drew was the 14th Major Arcana (Death). As a Reader, it is my responsibility to impress upon you that no one is going to die. That is not what the card means....it refers to CHANGE.

Lastly, IF the reader was right and your brother is doing drugs..... Just as the Divine is working in your life to protect you from your brother, so is the Divine working in your brother's life to protect him from himself.....
