Hi alb822,
You should then know that the minor arcanum as well as the Major tells you a story, in other words the way in which cards influence each other as well as which are virtues and which are run of the mill happenings.
Normally i use the Celtic cross and it is fairly easy to then see the significance of the cards, how i explain it: 1 the spark, two the obvious direction or possible direction, 3, the fruit of the first two, 4, the way in which a situation will prevail, 5 the result of four and so-on, 8, the established or reincarnated situation, 9, possible completion and ten attainment, Court cards depicting people or rational influences, linked to the Sun and Moon, you can then determine how or what 2 would be doing in "house" 4 and so-on, in other words, 4, signifying solidity, or that which won't budge would mean that the direction of "2" will remain for some time.
Hope this sheds light on your question.
