I have heard that if you buy a deck for yourself it is bad luck, is this true?

No i have not found that to be true although i also thought the same when i wanted my first deck there are plenty of sights on the Internet that show a selection of cards from one pack the best deck for you to have would be one that speaks to you. have your looked at the learn Tarot on the home page we are learning to read the Tarot intuitively lots of people have posted cards from a variety of different decks may be you will find some there that appeal/speak to you-you could even join use

never found it to be true either. i was intrested in the Tarot so i went to the store looked through a catalog and choose my deck. i seem to have choosen the rigth deck because they seem to talk to me! talk to me in the sense they seem to work for me and i can get a picture, story etc from them.

Some very eager people wate years for some mysterious woman to apear on a corner and give/sell them a deck. This can get depressing, so unless you want a desighner deck I would suggest just buying one (:

Nope, it's not bad luck buying your own deck. It's just some old myth.

I'll suggest going on an internet site that reviews many different Tarot decks to get a glimpse of what the decks look like. Choose a deck that resonates with you, with a theme, artwork and symbolism you personally like.
