| How does one know what was really meant by the originators of tarot? I read a book that was written by Waite about his tarot and he said the original cards were basically no more than a card game, like... Old Maid. Can you imagine, someone 50 to 100 years from now, finding a deck of Old Maid cards and using them to tell other people what to go do with their life? OMG. Is that what we are doing? |
Personally I could read from an Old Maid set lol! Tea leaves, sheeps droppings, or even sticks and leaves, birds flying, feathers, water bowls, shadows, clouds, etc etc etc.
So why would one think not?
Have you researched the history of the tarot? It is fascinating.
Many taroists are split between Waite and Crowley depending on their beliefs and likes. Some of the olders decks have an even deeper insight of design and artistic work.
Now I am off to find the kids Old Maid set hmm and I might try a few of their other card sets too and let you know what I find out
Who wants a try?
