I am not going to get a grip on the court cards, especially the Pages and the Knights. If some people read only with the Major Arcana (as does the Tarot software on this website - as a choice), how about removing the Court cards from readings? What 'harm' or 'good' it will be do without them? To me the court cards simply add a stalemate to the reading; some sort of stumbling point where one has to give all the options to the querent: is this someone coming in your life? Or, is this part of you telling you to acquire those qualities, bla, bla, bla? There is no clear cut defintion to their functionality.

Maybe you are struggling to hard.

When you do a reading....you shall tell what the cards tells you....there is no fix solution....but each suit and "card value" has his/her abilities.

You might look at the court cards as your family.
We all have different way to behave an uncle is just an uncle in name....they have different abilities.

Look at the pages as those little one.... the knight as teenager---young adulthood---queen as mother---who control of the household--- who want to marry away their knights..that keep business party....look after the life stock....and the king as the Father...he who has the view over the family...gives good advices...look after the business.

Don't get into fix solutions on any card.....let your imagination and the question supported with ground rules make the reading...the harder you try to fit the cards to a question...the more lousy reading you will do.....let the terrain make the map....not the map make the terrain

Good luck

Thanks Gem,
I have been reading the lessons and gained some useful insights through them. I have also read two books (two courses) but  whenever I have given readings to people, they have commented positively on my reading.  That, however, has not stopped me feeling unease with the court cards. This happens to be the same case with some professional readers I have come across.
Rest assured, I am not giving up Gem.
thank you for your comments and concern. I really appreciate it.
