Other people shuffling cards, Mysticism, reading, forums, Numerology, Sun Signs, Divination

What is people's stance on other people shuffling the cards when you are doing a reading for them. A book that I have just read, says not to let them...I just wanted to know is this what others do?

I always shuffel the cards myself but If the other person wants to do it, then why not. Does your book give any reason for not allowing the other person to do it?

Well as reader....your cards is your tool.

You shall threat them with respect...you shall keep them in a nice cloth....you shall give them your energy.

A reading are then an interaction between the cards and the reader.

For me it will then sound strange to give the cards to the questioner to shuffle.....because the connection between reader and card then become broken.

On the other hand....when the card is shuffled...the questioner might choose to cut the deck in one, two or three ways...and that I find alright.

This was my view on it

Thanks for the replies, Yes the book states that it mucks up with the energy that you have going on with your cards. So these answers have clarified that for me. Thank you

I read that is the way to give a reading to some one else. That is the only way to get a reading for them, but it does say in other places I've read in no one is supposed to ever touch your tarot cards.

Maybe buy two decks of the same kind and save one only for yourself and one to use for others. It also says to keep a tarot deck wrapped in a black silk cloth and store it in a wood box always and never loan them out to people.
