I have purchased Tarot cards off and on thru my life and have tried to learn about them....The thing that would always confuse me and shy me away is when you get a brand-new deck of cards and they are all right side up, how do you shuffle them so as to get the reversal cards...It always would make me nervous partly because of the somewhat negative connotations of having a reversal card (though sometimes that isn't true, I know, some reversal cards are more positive)...How many reversal cards should there be to be correct? ....So I'd be switching how I shuffle so as to get them upside down and then I still would be unsure if I got it balanced so I would put them in a pile and just swish them all up....Life would be so much easier if they were all read the same way no matter which way they are, like a normal deck of cards.....It's just so nice to have them all right side up....If I shuffle them the way I normally would, there wouldn't be any reversed ones...I find when I try to mix them up so I can have reversed ones I tend to have alot of reversed and I just feel very unsure of it.....So my question is : How do I properly mix the cards so as to have the reversed/upright balanced?

For myself I shuffle normally and if a card turns up reversed then it is trying to get my attention, and will definately get the querents attention becasue it will be facing them amidst a sea of upside down cards to them.

Some say you should place all the cards face down on a cloth then swirl them around and then shuffle the normal way. Its up to you.

I would be so brave to say....Don't bother with reverse card before you are confident in the original Tarot.

Reverse card is something that have been introduced much later.

To learn 78 card and be confident to read them is quiet a task....to increase this to 158 at once will possibly destroy your fun of it....at least it will take much longer time.

Your understanding will grow with each Reading you feel you have done right...do like you will do in order to drive a car...learn the car....take the trailer paper later

Ok I admit to being fairly new at the tarot but I never use the reversed cards. There are enough upright negative cards to contend with.l
I figure if none of my cards seem to relate to my question then the news isn't good

I've heard that one does not have to use the Reversed cards.   From what I've concluded, our energy and focus will draw the proper card that needs to be pulled.  In the event you are meant to receive a specific interpretation but the card is by chance reversed, can we blame our energy for pulling the reversed card?  

Could it be possilbe that the true reading was intended for the uprite card and it just happened to be reversed?  I have a hard time understanding how one could possibly dictate the meaning of a reversed card when we are the ones who reversed them to begin with.  Do you see what I'm saying?  Anyone?

 So, does it really matter to have reversed cards in your deck?  I wouldn't think so but please, comment if you disagree or have thoughts on this.
