Thank you both for your input.  The cards I bought are Cachet.  I went to my local bookstore and they only had this deck and the deck that comes with Tarot for Dummies.  The deck only came with a small  48 page book.  I also got the book "Everything Tarot Book" 2nd Addition by Skye Alexander.  My local bookstore does not carry much when it comes to Tarot.  I just started the book and it seems pretty complex.  
I realize the Tarot class has already started...is this something I can jump into now and not be lost?

You can start at any time, it is designed to be left on view and people work through it when they get time. Some eager beavers have been busy and whizzed through waiting for the next lesson others take it slower and dip in and out.

I'm just beginning to learn myself but didn't really consider which book was best; my thing was which cards I was drawn to. Turns out The Gilded Tarot was my pick. It came with a book by Barbara Moore that is a really good guide to learning.

In the UK that package is coming out the end of May, so I look forward to my copy and see what I think
