I am reading the The complete idiots guide to Tarot and throughout the book it says that the cards can tell us why we had failures in life, and that there was a reason for them. Like if you were in a bad relationship the reason for it was because there are challenges and disharmony that you need to work with. They used a woman as an example, she was in a bad relationship because it was helping her out for her future relationship.

Now my question:
Ever since I got my cards I've been asking it about my failures in life. Why was I bullied in school, why is that every single guy I have a crush on are the ones I don't have a chance with? Why is it that the guy that I do like ends up hating me for some reason. The last guy I liked I didn't even do anything, he found out I liked him so he made my life miserable. I can never get answers though.  Why am I 21 years old and still single and never been kissed? Why have I been shy my whole life? Why do I get angry so easily?
How do I find out the reasons for these when doing a reading? I mean sure it's made me stronger in life to get through situations but I am not happy. I mean what is the reason for all this stuff? I really would like to know. If anyone can help me out I really would appreciate it. I've been trying to get answers ever since I was fourteen and started getting into all this stuff. I always get the same answer though, things will get better, you will be happy soon. That's all well in good for the future, but this is the present! I want to understand my past and present because I won't be happy in the future unless I can understand the reasons for all this.

If anyone knows a reading that can help in anyway please let me know.

Ahhh the questions of life!  You could try exploring past life regression, that can hold secrets into why things are happening in this lifetime, lessons we have to learn and cords to the past that have to be cut.  With tarot you could try a few learning spreads that would work to increase your spiritual awareness and find answers that way. Try a childhood spread, with 7 cards, and designate each one a certain aspect or age.  Or a destiny spread to see a bigger picture.

This is not a direct reponse to your question, but I hope it will be helpful to you in finding your own answers.

I've found that sometimes I have the best Tarot Sessions when I let the cards ask the questions instead of me asking the questions.  I mean when I ask the questions and look for answers in the cards there is always my own subconscious agenda that has the possibility of influencing what I perceive (or can't perceive) in the "answers" but if the card asks the question, then I can learn a lot just by free-writing my own answer in a notebook.

For example suppose I am looking for answers but I decide I will let the cards decide what the questions are and I will do this by drawing a single card per day.  The first day I draw the 7 of pentacles - the question this card seems to ask me is, "What am I nurturing?" or "What have I been nurturing that is now coming to fruit?" so I write in my notebook, without thinking about it, my answer to the card's question

another day I draw the Emporer who might ask, "How do I rule my world?" or another day I might draw the 8 of cups which seems to ask, what is it time I walk away from that no longer fulfills?" and each day I write my answer - I have learned a lot this way, by trying to see what the card is asking and then I try to answer.

hope this was helpful - megan

I will try to give my opinion...even if it will not be direct related to Tarot.

No one must believe they can buy a deck of card...put out a spread...and vips there is the answer....what a good life we then could have

In order to give good readings you must be confident with the cards...and you must be connected with the one you read for.

A new student of the art will seldom receive any answer about him/her self...because he/she know to much and cant blank out this knowledge....then this will clutter the messages so it has no value.

For most of us, Tarot is best used as a guiding tool in the big picture.....the more narrow...the better reader you have to be.

As kid I was very tall....biggest in school....at the same time very shy.
I would never do any harm to anyone, but other kids at the same age or older always started to fight me...and since I hated to fight back I got both the beating and the blame.
When I came in my teens, I had many "falling in love" with girls....but I never dared to contact or say anything.

When I was 19 I got my first kiss....and it was like an explosion....I married her the year after...we had just 43 years aniversery ...she is the only one I have kissed and I am
satisfied with that.

Why telling you this.....just like you....men can also be shy.....but I am sure when the right man comes you will notice...and you have still good time.
Use this time to do thing you can't do when you marry and get children....take courses....meet people.....be active....but be natural in your attitude....always look for the bright in your situation.....men loves ladies that is funny and secure

Another Hug and Good luck
