Hi,

Just wanting some help in understanding a 3 card spread I did for myself the other day:

1 = The Empress
2 = Ten of Pentacles
3 = The High Priestess

Any thoughts/ideas on how to interpret this?

The Empress: The Earth Mother symbolizing feritility, growth, etc...  This card has become a personal favorite of mine as of late.  She has fallen in the past position of your three card read. It is the position that has gotten where you are at now.  With the High Priestess in the future position my first impression was you are Mother Earth.  An Earthly teacher and a spiritual creature even though you may or may not stand in front of  class.  The Ten of Pentacles says success so you achieve high marks in human affairs and lead people to their goals be them spiritual or earthly.

Since you didnt give positional meanings for your spread Im going to interpret as "How Things Are"  

The Empress suggests to me that you have been living life through your feelings, with your heart rather than your head. Something new has manifested in your life that makes use of your wonderful creative talents. There is also alot of passion around you at the moment ~ perhaps feelings have been running high. I feel that the 10 of Pentacles is an advice card ~ suggesting that you need to open up to the blessings that surround you, really look at & appreciate them. I feel you have been erecting protective barriers around yourself ~ this prevents you dealing fully with family niggles & such. The High Priestess represents your potential: feeling connected to everything & everyone around you,knowing when to act & when you remain still ~balancing the power of decision making with reflection~ & being in touch with your true self.

Gem/MM/George.....Thank you so much for you help in understanding my cards - I will definitely check out the Tarot classes and software.

I'm probably a bit of a combination of all your responses. I have always lived mylife from my heart which has probably gotten me into more trouble than if I had let me head rule.

I have put up barriers around me and these days don't generally let too many people get too close.  So Im sure some perceive me to be perhaps cold and distant - which is the exact opposite of the person that I am within.

I enjoy being creative and have late last year moved into a new job where I have become the self appointed social secretary and organising events etc.. its great.

Earth Mother/Teacher etc....  I have always felt a natural affinity to the earthly things and have in the last year 'discovered' and opened up to the more spiritual things in life.  Funnily enough too, in my discussions with others latley, they have commented on how I've given them fresh perspectives on different aspects of their lives or thoughts.  I love it and it gives me a great sense of achievement in knowing that I have helped others in some small way.  I'm usually pretty good at giving advice to others but dont always take heed of them myself. In the physical sense, I am a relatively new mum to a gorgeous little girl who is the most precious and wonderful thing in my life.

Passion...not sure where that's coming from though as there is no partner or man in my life or on the horizon that I can see.  I'm sure he's just lost in the crowd at the moment     I have been quite emotional lately and that's related to some other problems going on.  Just when I think it's all going to work out OK, something else happens and its been one frustration after another.  Will it ever end!!
