Just tried out the software-its neat and nice.

I switch off reverse cards. Very early on I decided Reverse meanings are rather negative and multiply the variations too much. There are enough nuances in 78 cards to cover most life situaations,I feel.

How does anyone else feel about using Reverse cards?

I agree with you.

A normal 78 deck is more then enough to learn and have enough variation to give a decent reading.

A lot of good readers don't use reverse card....it's the readers ability that is most important, not how many variation the cards manage to show

As for PC programs and use of reverse card, I will also suggest to turn them off, this because the program don't take into account the influence from the side cards, which also play an important role in a Reading.

The program is a great way to learn Tarot....use it as a Tool.....that is all it is....it can never replace your intuition which is the most important ability in any Reading

I like reverse cards, because sometimes they can add a new dimension. But, lots of times I don't use them, especially if I want to give a reading that focuses on the positive.

I don't use reverse cards, I don't feel it is really necessary, but many folks swear by it.

When they come up in readings where I am the querent, I view them as something I really need to pay close attention to in terms of subject matter...

Although I must admit I have never really paid any respect to tarot software (shame on me) my curiosity has got the better of me and I have just downloaded the software.  I am amazed lol. Its fun.  Up until now I have read my cards, and very very rarely get any reversals because I do tend to shuffle the cards not place them flat then mix them which tend to give more reversals. Most of the time I actually get the person I am reading for to shuffle them, that way they feel more involved I think?   Reversals then can jump out and face the querent straight.
