Hi there,
I'm a new member too, but I've been teaching Tarot for 20+ years.
As I understand it, we all have a subconscious connection to a universal memory. It is the collection of all the knowledge of humanity since time began. The reknowned psychologist Carl Jung referred to it as the "world's soul" or "anima mundi". Through the symbolic meanings of the artwork on Tarot cards, we are able to access information from that memory bank. I suggest that you acquire some text books on Tarot card reading for a more indepth explanation. Some really good authors are Mary Greer, Rachael Pollock, Christine Jette and then there are numerous websites that offer instruction.
Tarot is meant to be used as a tool for personal guidance and should not be expected to bring gain through greed, or used to control others. Personal Tarot ethics are very important if you do not want to be classified as a scam artist. You can get more info from these reputable sites:
www.tarotcanada.com and
www.americantarotassociation.com . Tarot readings can give you a "heads up" about health problems, arguments, etc. that prepare you for these problems in advance, so you can assertively take action to avoid them.
Hope that helps.
Donna
