Ok then, here's another question. "Does a tree in a forest make a sound when it falls over if there is nobody there to hear it?"
Life really is a mystery. Of course it is. We all have so many questions to ask, why are we here, what is the meaning of life, is there really a God?
Well to tell the truth, "I don't know and I don't think I ever will." One thing is for certain though, no matter what humanity encounters now or in the future, the human spirit will always fight to survive. Without that spirit there would be no humanity left. I am not one for preaching, but sometimes, just sometimes, something or someone hits on that raw nerve and I feel like I have to say something. Well here it comes…
I live in a world of war, starvation, deprivation, anger, extremism, fatality, selfishness, brutality, single-mindedness, ignorance, poverty, cruelty, need I go on. I think you have all got the message thus far. So what is my purpose? I have travelled thousands of miles in my lifetime and experienced most of what I have just listed and it's not very good to think I am apart of it all. While the human race is satisfied to stick it's head in the ground like an Ostrich and let life wash right over it without even attempting to do something about the way we treat each other then I would be quite happy to be out of here. Well maybe not quite, yet.
I have been given an opportunity to give something back to this world and I thank those people very much for allowing me this privilege. If I can give something that is useful and beneficial to others around me then I will leave this world a very happy man. I believe that this is our purpose, to give to others and share everything we have with the world, to humanity. We are not here to bleat and bicker because of how life is terrible to us and that we deserve more. That is just greed. I despise the people who have so much to say, yet so little to offer and all the while they know nothing about life whatsoever. Give it up and sort your life out is what I say to them, because when it comes down to it, nobody is better than anyone else in this world.
Let's all use our knowledge and experience to improve our quality of life and give to each other the recognition that we all deserve. The recognition of being human beings and not some rabid animal that needs to be caged and beaten. Together we have a voice, a very big voice and one that can be heard all over the world. So come together as one and we can start to make changes, maybe not earth-shattering ones, but at least something that can be recognised as being positive.
That's it! I'm finished now. I just had to get it off my chest. I'll get back to work now.
