As for the cards being from the Major Arcana, I must have accidentally checked the Major Arcana box

Bit of a nice screw up there. Her question pertained to her proffessional and romantic lives, because she has it clearly mapped out that she'll move to Japan and teach English, or find work as a translator (some people will point out the extreme similarity in career choice and insinuate that this is
me we're talking about, she just does the same degree as me). Now, she is agonising not only over what she's to do about her current boyfriend, but also about another guy she loves just as much. This seems like something trivial, but to people who know her, it isn't because it's extremely out of character for her. This is something that's of the utmost importance and significance to her and her life's direction.
My personal interpretation was based more on her relationships, as that was what was giving her the most grief at the time.
The Sun reversed and the Lovers told us what she already knew. That her relationships were going through a tough time, she was unhappy, and now was the time to rethink them, and see where she really stands and how she feels. The Emporer said, in my sub-novice opinion, that her problems may have been caused by a purely logical decision, based on her goals and wants, which in matters of this nature has only ever caused problems for me. Another interpretation of the Emperor is that her problems
now are being caused by looking at things logically. I thought the Chariot meant that she'd recently tasted defeat or suffered setbacks. My thoughts on that were "whoopdy doo, everyone does". The Star, reversed, said she wasn't feeling ready for change, or that she was concerned about her goals not being fulfilled (which seemed likely to me anyway, worrying about the decision to stay here with her boyfriend or move to Japan). Strength reversed made me think that pressure was going to get to her, and she'd feel like she had no control over it - leading to stupid decisions, or ones that don't best suit her. I had no idea what to make of the Hierophant. I think it might have had something to do with her not knowing what choice to make. The Hermit, I think, meant that she had to seek advice, which she did - from me - before the rather botched tarot reading :P. I thought the Moon may have mean that she had to step back from this emotionally, and look at it logically, but in terms of what she should actually do, isn't that what got her
into the situation in the first place? :P. The Magician just meant to me that she should always be cautious about her choices, and she see what her friends think.
That's my rather dodgy, newbie, untrained interpretation, based on a reading which I'd botched from the start by accidentally checking the Major Arcana box. This mouse is one of the early optical mouses released, so it has a habit of sometimes making the cursor jump to a fairly random place on screen. I might not have noticed it.
All up, I don't think that that interpretation tells anything more than my advice did before the reading :P.
By the way, I think what you meant when you said "that should be nice to hear" was "that should be worth a chuckle"
